500 manuals is a bit optimistic. The majority of M2s are DCT. If they sold 1,000 M2 CS's in DCT and Manual in NA, which would mean something like 5,000 total around the world. I'd estimate only 350 of them would be Manual, in the US. So yeah, the bean counters would not be happy. Which is why I hope BMW does it anyway, for us, the loyalists, the purists, the enthusiasts, the demographic the car was designed for.

Manual seats Manual transmission Factory coilovers The M2 CS will be perfect for the DCT / daily driver crew. And it will probably be a zL9 with a motor and some new aero and upgraded brakes ! Porsche WILL make another cayman GT4.. someday. And they made it manual to keep it slower than the 911. Pray for M2 GTS. We need more MOTORSPORT. And BMW should also go with manual .. While they are at it ... if they could get it down to 1M curb weight .... |

The bread and butter is in SAVS.. BMW led the field here and has let competitors catch up and pass them and is now really going to market hard with X Models. Fortunately they are still making coupes and sedans ... While BMW doesn't have the " halo car " that everyone want, however a lot of special editions and variants can definitely keep the M crowd happy and provide a lot of sizzle for the lower models in the lineup to sell down to. |

The m4 CS costs 40.000 euro more then an normal one! Crazy!
i am holding my breath for the m2 CS. I rather see an M2 With a manual and a b58 engine for normal money! |

Add. performance of M4 CS will be mainly based on Michelin Cup 2. These tires are now also available in BMW (Star-) specification for M2 in 245/35-19 and 265/35-19 (see Tire Rack). 35-40t euros more is a joke when you compare with M3 E46 CSL with real lightweight components, alpha N, airbox, spec. sus. components and limited production. I hope BMW is doing good business but without me.. . |

I'd expect at least an M4 : M4 CS proportional premium for the M2 CS without dealer markups. Price should be proportionately higher however due to that increased engine cost.

I am shopping for a 3rd car also. Personally I'm going with a manual m2 instead of the cs now that it's auto only. I want the extra space for my son, so I can enjoy it with my family. |

Seems that for the M4 CS (€116K) BMW also quotes ±150% of the M4 price (and mind you: several goodies are optional). My guesstimate for the M2 CS pricing remains: M2 price x ±1.5 = M2 CS price.

Hopefully BMW offers a manual transmission option for the M2 CS. By the way, small creature comfort detail: alike the M4 GTS, the M4 CS has no centre armrest.

I'm still expecting the M2 CS with all options other than the CCB to just break 70k.
I like how the people who jumped on the wait list early will be rewarded with an exclusive color. The mention of the M2 CS in 2019 makes me wonder if the expected order of CS and GTS will be flipped to reflect how they were released for the M4. Or maybe the M2 just won't get a GTS model. It certainly seems like the CS version is not targeted at replacing the base version. Overall, I like it. |

The ynglun (or something like that) guy who is a Bmw insider and posts updated on here stated that the m4 cs would be dct only, which it is. He also said that all 40 M2 CS test mules are dct and he is not aware of any plans for a manual. He's also almost always right on his intel.
So it's of course possible, but seems incredibly unlikely. |
