The one front strut has an allen key slot at the top to hold the strut still while you torque it down and thats stripped so you'd just have to use an impact gun. I've called Ohlins and one of their US distros and confirmed fitment, parts list, etc are all good. The struts all have the same valving and dampening etc so it all would work together fine. There is no leaking from the struts and they compress fine without any issues. So you'd have one of two options when buying: 1. Run as is, it is in working condition and would install fine with the camber plates etc as I've been told by a trusted, well known shop. 2. Purchase new front struts from Ohlins (~$1000) and have an entirely new Ohlins kit for ~$3,000 ($1,500 off MSRP not including taxes etc). Obviously its not the most ideal situation, but that is reflected in the price, you can run as is (used front struts, brand new everything else) for $2,000 or have a brand new Ohlins kit (if you buy new struts) for less than KW V3s. |
