43 Y/O. After driving the M2c for 18 months I couldn't resist buying a final version of the car. Mine is ready for pick up at dealer. Just waiting for the rain to stop.

Wow, someone in the 18-25 range. That's so fortunate to be able to afford a car like this so early on in life. That's awesome!

Took delivery today!
Call it a midlife crisis purchase if you like. I thought my M2c was my forever car but now I know I was wrong. The M2c goes up for sale tomorrow. The CS just became the forever car.

Same for me. I'm a thoroughgoing Porsche and BMW enthusiast, but the 992 is not to my liking (at all) and neither is the G series. The manufacturers have saved me from myself, I suppose. I can collect and enjoy my M2 CS and call it a day.

Not a giant fan of the 992 myself. No doubt capable but just not my cup of tea.

Out of curiosity, were the GT3s never in consideration as forever cars for you?

If I could go back in time, I'd order a 997.2 GT3 with the legendary Mezger and hold onto it. The 991 styling is stunning but too big for a 911 (much like the F80 for the M3). The 992 styling leaves much to be desired and of course is also too big (much like the G80 M3). The 997.2 was the one to get -- so much car for the money and also the right size, before 911s got too big to still feel like 911s. Also, for me, I just didn't find time to drive my GT3s nearly as much as I would have liked. Between no back seats, loud exhaust and look-at-me styling, I just found it very limiting as to when and where I could drive them. And so they sat in the garage a lot of the time. I've always driven my ///M cars much more than even my 911 Carreras, never mind my GT3s. And I'll bet this is true for most of us who have owned both. The practicality and versatility of an ///M are tough to beat, and you can still get one in the right size (M2) with the correct number of pedals. I think that's pretty darn cool.

You got me curious. I checked the 997 V 991 prices in Australia; what a difference !!!

13YO 997 with 10,000Km

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...SSE-AD-6800048

for a similar price as a 3 YO 991 with 3,000Km

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...AG-AD-19133324

Sorry about the lengthy URLs, I tried TinyUTL but somehow it kept getting trashed when cooked into this comment
