Our Catbypass Downpipe will add the greatest gain in volume and tone, lots of crackles. The Sport Cat Downpipe will add a little more volume, and a good amount of extra burbles. The Muffler Bypass offers a large gain in volume, while keeping the tone around the same.

Thanks! We'd have to experiment with that, but can certainly do it. We just crafted single (dual) tips for the GT4.

Thank you for the kind words. That's a very common concern among many turbo car owners, especially the new 991.2 Carrera. If you have not heard it yet, a lot of people are against how the turbos make it sound like a truck. We do our best to embellish the tone of the engine, and assure you there is more presence from the exhaust vs the turbo in real life. Turbos tend to have an exaggerated volume in our video recordings. We'll keep looking into ways to get a more refined sound.

Like they do with the m performance exhaust.
That is a resonator, not a catalyst. Also have you seen the factory M2 midpipe? It's a really nice piece. We did craft a midpipe to match the Muffler Bypass Exhaust for the M235i, which replaces the factory midpipe with a straight pipe. It is LOUD and extremely aggressive. In our experience, the majority of turbo BMW owners go straight for a downpipe. The last thing we want is someone running a downpipe and exhaust combo that is too brutal for them to bear.

We wanted to retain emissions compliance with the exhaust, so we left the cat. Also have you seen the factory M2 midpipe? It's a really nice piece. Know you're close to an interstate and I would be coming from NY. How much drone can I expect to hear?

Drone is very subjective. That said, I notice a very slight amount of resonance between 2700-3000 RPM, but only if you're trying to accelerate without downshifting. It's very minimal though, and completely avoidable if you're conscious of what gear you're in and what speed you're traveling.

That's very generous of you. I'll keep that in mind as my car goes into production in July.

Although I love the idea, I am also a huge fan of the 335is! Especially in white !

We're improving our Muffler Bypass Exhaust!

We looked at the Y split section and wanted to incorporate a cast Y section for the smoothest possible transition and best possible flow all while increasing the speed in which we can craft these systems for you. Moving forward, all Muffler Bypasses will be using these gorgeous cast pieces:

Great sounding, beautifully crafted pieces. Personally, I think I'd try the Sport Cat Downpipe w/stock exhaust first and go from there. It all sounds great though.

Thank you! You can't go wrong with downpipe first as there's more power to unlock there.

Yesterday we installed a Sport Cat Downpipe + Muffler Bypass Combo. Here is quick video of in car footage:

Nice to see another ///M2 with that combo. Hopefully it's a local owner and we'll bump into each other eventually...

I'm getting tired of watching videos; I guess I shouldn't complain about being on vacation But I have yet to see that combo in person...

Installed my Sport Cat and the sound is magical! Not too loud, deeper tone and a tad more pops. Butt Dyno detects a power increase, but it could be deceived by the glorious sound. I suspect it'll take the ECU a few days to adapt, as I've also installed the BMS intake. I personally feel the stock exhaust compliments the cat perfectly. Seriously happy camper!

That is awesome to hear! I am really debating just getting the sport cat for now and maybe doing an exhaust next year. I don't really want to go full catless at this time, but sport cats sound like a nice happy medium. Do you have any videos you could share?

Off topic; any perceived difference in sound/power with the BMS intake? I bought one, just waiting to install it. Being impatient, I had a K&N drop in, put all of about 10 miles on it, then realized the BMS intake would fit our M's..

How was the install??

Thanks for any info

How much power would we be leaving on the table if we go with the 200 sport cat downpipe compared to the catless downpipe?
