Probably called...BMW M Performance

ITS_RAD for short.

Anyone have any questions? Post them up if you do.
Can you ask if you can get the MPE titanium tips only without the CF slip on and the other is regarding any seat upgrades. Is there a new M performance seat available

Cheers

Sweet.....all the parts that should come with the m2 just for being a damn m2! Lol. And so begins the multi thousand dollar nickel and dime. Smh.

I'll wait for the China eBay reps...I'm not going to meets and shit so I could care less if a hipster calls my shit out. 70% of the folks into BMWs can't tell, the other 30% don't give a shit.

Steering wheel should have been standard equipment. And again why aren't there full press shots of this alpine white M2? Too much to ask to see the other colors???

All the same "M parts" as for the M235i. Minus the front lip spoiler. Shouldn't this all be standard?

M Performance suspension?
That has to be a typo...isn't it a step in the wrong direction?

My questions (and predictions)...

Are they really offering an M Performance suspension "upgrade"? If so, what are the details? (Highly doubt this is happening)

How much weight will the exhaust save over the factory setup? (Probably about 20#)

Will the new steering wheel be compatible with heat option? (I doubt it)

Will there be a CF splitter coming soon? (Most likely)

Will there be compatible M Performance seats? (Hopefully) And how much weight will they save compared to the standard power seats? (It would be great if we get a factory manual seat option, but seems unlikely)

Most of this stuff is aesthetic, so no. Again and again, no. Thats the entire appeal of this car! Remove bloat. You want this stuff standard, go get an M4. You want a back-to-the-roots M car, without the cost raising frills, the M2 is for you. Thats why the M235i gets great reviews, and thats why the M2 will as well. Screw the other stuff and give me fun behind the wheel.

On another note...what color will the HVAC controls be. One pic is orange and one pic is white. I was hoping for white gauges throughout. Is that a darker/deeper shade of orange gauges though?
They change from white to orange, white during the day and then at dusk or darkness they change to orange.

This was a silent upgrade sometime mid 2015 model year!

Can it be that the front will also just get some small wings and that is why we just see some small CF parts on the old photo?

The press release for the M4 describes "adjustable" M Performance coilovers. Maybe the M2 is the same?

I own a M235i and it is fun, but the carbon parts aren't bloat. It makes the car look good and not so cheap. The bloat is on the price tag yes, but that's why I would expect it to be standard in the M2 to raise it above the M235i. Either way it's fine that's why they are options.

That was one of the things I wished BMW offered for the 1M and thought for sure they would offer a front lip for the M2 seeing how it's the most sporty car in BMW'S lineup and they offer it for EVERY OTHER CAR they produce.

I really hope they don't short us on this. Like how the M mirrors were the straw for some folks, no CF performance lip is mine. Here's to hoping that the camel's back isn't broken yet.
Agree. If the part is CF, it should be visible, not hidden under the corners of the lower fascia.
Maybe we'll see more this spring. I certainly hope so.

Anything other than "wheel pants" is fine with me.

Looks like these tiny little "skid plates" are all the M2 will get.
You can barely see one under the side intake:

Winglets.

Where are the good ol' times when BMW Performance was offering totally whole new bumpers and skirts that were sporty yet still classy. Now they're making some carbon fiber winglets and wings that belong to JDM SEMA showcars and ricers.

That steering wheel is amazing, I might have to try and retrofit that in my car! Also quite like the new font they have gone for the "MPerformance"

The carbon spoiler and mirror caps seem to be the same as the M-Performance ones that are currently offered for the f22, could the M-Performance parts manager confirm this ?
