Doesn't anyone get tire protection? It's like 100 bucks or something from tirerack, even free with Belle tire or a dozen other local tire shops.

Add wheel weights. Picked up one and absolutely shredded one of my rear OE Contis. Whats worse is 7000 miles later found a slow leak on the other side. Contis were noisy as hell, so decided to dump them for a new set of Super Sports. So 6 tires in 18K miles for me. Pretty happy with the Michelin's so far. No noise is music to the ears.

I personally would never run tires for more than two years on a high performance car. Not that is is a problem for me as I track my car and will use about 3 sets this year.

I know the feeling. I too live in a heavy construction neighborhood. I learned and got good plugging my own.
I use the DynaPlug Pro: https://www.amazon.com/Dynaplug-Xtre...s%2C146&sr=8-9

I have not one, but two nails in the right rear. Which is annoying, as it goes flat in a couple of days sat on the drive.
It's close to the wear markers, but still... So, MPS4S here I come. |
