Based on the pricing of the M4 CS I am guessing the M2 CS is going to be in the $90k range. At that price I'm out.

Ah, remember M2 CS will be an entirely different car than the standard M2. Not just its engine but it's nature too.

Add. performance of M4 CS will be mainly based on Michelin Cup 2. These tires are now also available in BMW (Star-) specification for M2 in 245/35-19 and 265/35-19 (see Tire Rack). 35-40t euros more is a joke when you compare with M3 E46 CSL with real lightweight components, alpha N, airbox, spec. sus. components and limited production. I hope BMW is doing good business but without me.. .
Do you have some links of these test drives or is it mainly hearsay?

The B58 sports a bigger turbo, right? Shouldn't that be more laggy then? And it's not more powerful than the M2 version of the N55. But it's got more torque in the lower/mid range. Which is fine for a DD but for a "sports car" it's not only a positive.

I fully agree on the M4 CS though. Laughable. Just laughable. The sad part is that they will get away with it. People will buy and it will not depreciate like the stock M4. It's just one of those things I'll never fully understand. People spend for 10 extra hp and 30 kg less. But the real performance boost is the tires, as you say...

This is one of the more cryptic and intriguing posts you've made. I'm sure there's a creative analogy that creates wide enough lines for us to read between.

If/when the M2 CS/GTS shows up, hope it has these door pulls like the M4CS. It's a nice touch and that steering wheel! Holding off interior mods for these to come available.

Americans are holding phones and coffee cups. They can't shift anymore because their hands are tied up. I have a 40 mi rt commute in DC which is not far behind CA (yes, I've commuted on 405), but am fine whig my manual. Yes, I am AARP eligible.

They are saying the M4 CS will be priced around 90k... I am not going to be surprised if the M2GTS is around 110k and the M2 CS is around 75-80k.

Thinking positively M2 won't have OLED lights which costs 5k a piece alone. Also the M4CS doesn't have carbon ceramic standard which is a plus.

I hope the 6MT will be optional on the M2 CS or GTS!

R&T is one of the magazines saying it's going to be over 100k while most magazines agree around 89k will be the price. We'll have to wait and see to know for sure.

No way they can justify a 40k increase for a S55 when a base M4 is only 15K more.

I'm going to guess 75-80K base tops. Even at that price it seems kind of silly. To me a 2 series should not ever cost more than 60K.

Sorry, I'm confused. You're saying you're going to get an M2, but then you say you want the extra space... But the M4 is bigger?

That poses more questions than it answers

I wish Bmw would just let us know how much it will be and what the spec is

Whatever. The M4 CS is silly at that price. $116 Euros!!! Save a hundred lbs., get a few more hp, and add 50% to the base price???? Sorry, I will try to be less negative in the future but if the M2 CS follows the same recipe I would be surprised if it sells well. Maybe I am marginalizing a new motor . . . if that happens.

Instead of the m2 cs.

A cayman gt4 is epic but 2 seater doesn't fit for me at the moment

Over a $100k in EUROPE. No US pricing from anywhere I've seen yet.

I don't have much interest in the CS anymore, regardless of models. Lack of 6MT is one thing, but price closer to the GTS than the base is another. That's out of my real for possibility.

Far more interested in the M2 LCI personally. Make it LBB and 0 options.

Exactly
A bit more and you can get the new GT3 which all respects to Bmw is a much better car IMHO

CS looks lovely though and I'm sure it will sell
