Stay away from Brushstoke in NYC unless you want to drop $500...
I recently started dating a bombshell Japanese girl. She is 35 but looks 22. I feel kind of weird because I am 44....
Anyway, she suggested to go to a Japanese restaurant and we decided on Brushstoke in Tribaca. The food, service and atmosphere are great but it is super duper expensive. The check was almost $500 for 2 ..... Never again... |

Ive spent 500 on dinner for 2 before. As long as the food is good I don't see the problem here.

Stop trolling. You're 17. No one 44 talks about dates or whines about significant others on an internet message-board the way you do.
BTW...you got played. She probably saw you as a pussy-whipped bitched so she recommended the most expensive restaurant around and had you pick up the tab. LOL!! |

Without being harsh I will say this is not the way to go about dating, especially at the beginning.
$500 dinner for two should be reserved for a very special occasion in a serious relationship, and not an early date. That's just setting a bad precedent that can only get worse. Unless you're ok with that, in which case to each their own. |

Really, you're at it again, BTW all Asia women look younger than their age, why do you think Japanese men have fetishes about school girls in skirts and high socks. You ex is not going to like you spend all her alimony money on these Asian women |

Ah man, dating 101. You don't take a girl out to a benjamins restaurant right off the bat. You're 44 man, you should know this.
Coffee, tea, and maybe a pastry. Talk, get to know her, and actually like her for something that doesn't involve physical attraction, then think about the 5 bill sushi places.

Like this girl:
http://www.torontolife.com/daily-dis...o-restaurants/ Seriously, had this chick bring her ugly friend along for some $15/head sushi.. the next time she suggested the Peninsula ($$$) out of the blue, so I said "What, am I a 'water-fish' (=chump) or something?" half-jokingly..-she hung up, never heard from her again. But then I had a rep with the other girls at her work.. so girls do gossip. No biggie. Five hundred let's see some pics OP |

It's really your fault to let it play out like that. You could have so easily picked another restaurant instead, even after you sat down and looked at the menu.
Did she put out at least? If not.... |

Not really. The problem OP is describing can happen to a 25 year old as well as a 45 year old. It's a matter of attitude and what one is willing to accept.
Though I don't know what I'm talking about because I don't date (won't for a while). In my mid 20s I did the same thing, expensive dinner date, the works, got nothing. It isn't a way to do it, I know that at least Also this might be hard to imagine if you haven't walked those shoes, but for someone like OP who's been married a long time and then goes back into the dating world, it can take time to adjust. I know I don't have any game, that's for sure! |
