Major Street Tire Closeout (Potenzas at Tire Rack)
Just saw 265/30r19 Potenzas for sale on Tire Rack. Set of four was under $600, which is insane for a19” tire with 30 aspect ratio. Not excellent tires, but quite good in the wet even with a high-performance platform. I experienced lapping with them in a stock 458 Italia on a wet day at Auto Club speedway roval course (lap time 1:47:**) and they were surprisingly good in the wet, albeit one has to take care not to overdrive them. I would’ve snatched up a set of four already for my 265 square street wheels, but my PS4S square set still has 70%+ tread left. Kinda weirdly bummed I can’t take advantage because these have great front end response and feedback, good road manners, and break away progressively for plenty of low-speed sideways fun on the street. For anyone itching to try a square setup on the street without buying an AP front BBK or spending a fortune, this and some flow formed Apex wheels in a 9.5” width would be your ticket at probably around $2,500 all in! I have no ties or relationships with Apex or TireRack, other than being a customer of both.
