I'm removing + reinstalling my seats to install a half cage/roll bar in my OG M2 this weekend. My understanding of the process is to remove the bolts for the sliders, disconnect the battery (and block off the trunk from closing), then disconnect the seat wiring. For reinstall, it seems like it's the opposite.

Does anyone know if the bolts used to mount the sliders are one-time-use, or reusable? If one-time use, does anyone know the part number for them?

I think I read the torque spec on them is around 32 ft-lbs.. is that right?

I dont have the part number handy but they are BMW M10 x 28 bolts. I reused mine but eventually swapped them out for stainless steel M10 x 30 bolts with a 1T washer. That way I could tighten down with a wrench & socket vs T50 torque bit

Thats what I did.

-Remove rear two bolts
-Slide the seat center with the door for easier removal
-Disconnect battery
-Remove two front bolts
-lean / tip seat backwards to disconnect harness
- pull seat out

Dont close the trunk while your battery is disconnected
