Seems obvious but there can be a lot going on and people overlook it and get out on track to find the gas light on after 3 laps. |

actually funny yall mention that because just yesterday I was reading and read about not to forget to tank before getting into the track. I absolutely did not think about that and yeah the gas tank is so small. But lets be honest, should be ok for a full track day? haha, lime rock is 1.5 miles a lap and there will be 4 20 minute sessions. laps should take 1 minute and some seconds so probably be about 30ish miles a session.

Ouch. Last thing you want during one of the sessions though is to have to come in early low on gas. Is what it is like you said, but that's still a pretty harsh markup.

Sounds like you should try to retrofit the M2 CS Racing 84 liter fuel tank and get back to us

As first time on track, I would suggest to fill up just before entering LRP and fill up again during lunch. I actually had to get towed off the track once when I pushed my luck a bit too much. I'll most likely be there this day. Happy to connect at the track, I have a '17 Mineral Gray.

Definitely try to arrive with the tank as full as possible, it goes pretty quickly. With my stock OG I'd usually go through at least 1/4 tank in a 20-25min session on track. With my local CCA chapter we'd normally do 4x ~22min sessions and I usually brought extra gas cans to help me make it through the day, I started with just 10L, went to 20L, then 30L and probably will need more. With running in our solo groups it's more like 7x ~22min a day now and 30L would still see me making a gas run at lunch.
You'll always pay a high premium if there's pumps at the track and you may also end up with line-ups too. It sucks if you have to end a session early or miss time waiting for the pumps. |

If 30 minute sessions, I can only do 3 before a refill, otherwise I have to end a session early. I have come off the track showing 2 miles to empty! By the time I get to the pumps its back to 10+ miles. But I usually don't cut it that close due to fuel starvation issues.

The S55 gets around 6-8 MPG on the track.
It will suck the tank dry fast! As others have said fill up just before going thru the gate. I also bring a couple 5 Gallon Jugs with 93 Pump in them. It allows me to stay onsite and concentrate on my student(s).

Don’t freak out if you get a tpms warning it may just be pressures too high. Don’t let it catch you off guard and certainly don’t let it ruin a session. Be ready to manage tire pressures between sessions, and ready to reset the tpms system on the car if needed. I haven’t needed to yet, others have.
Go ahead and empty out the car (glovebox, trunk, cabin, floor mats) before going to the track so you don’t have to do it there. Be intentional about getting some food in you that morning. Bringing a small cooler with some waters won’t suck, but isn’t mandatory. Don’t overpack tools. You’re not changing an engine between sessions. Watch as many laps as you can ahead of time and be familiar with the proper line ahead of arriving. Do not just plan to have the instructor familiarize you on track when you get there.
