I'm to curious to why Why people buy an ASD bypass harness when you can just code it off with bimmercode?

Pretty sure that was before bimmercode was available.

Some people are concerned about dealerships hassling them on warranty work after messing with vehicle code. Bypass isn't detectable after removing.

Installed the asd bypass today and I'm loving it. I didn't realize how much of the noise was fake. In retrospect, the additional noise was really annoying.

A lot of the grunts and burbles are fake or at least very exaggerated with the asd

I thought so. It wasn't that noticeable in Comfort, but switching to Sport was like hitting the "Loudness" button on an old stereo

Will the pdc button retrofit work on a 2018 car which already shuts off when you put it in drive? I want to be able to turn the sensors and camera on&off while stationary, without going into reverse.

Motorsport Hardware wheel stud conversion is a low cost upgrade if you have multiple sets of wheels or hit the track often. 👌

Some people have said they can hear a little bit of electronic noise with ASD coded off. That, the ease of installation is why I went with the harness.

The button will only turn the sensors on, not the camera, unfortunately. You can still select the camera from the menu, but it's not as easy as a 1-button-push thing.

I added the button just before they did the software change that turns the beeping off automatically, so I only got the real benefit of it for a short time, but I'm still glad I have it.

Ah right, i was hoping it will work like before where i can keep the cam and sensors on while driving around for a bit before it shuts off. I know bimmercode can alter the speed and distance thresholds, but you are saying it will still shut it off when i get out of reverse?

It arrived today, ill install the new button next few days when i get a chance.

I used the alcohol-soaked paper towel and some elbow grease. You won't make it look worse, it's worth the time to do it.

Anyone try the projector door lights on their vehicle? The eBay knockoffs are <$20 for “M Performance” graphics.
