@cntzl Glad to help!! Sorry for the delay in getting that to everyone. That would be correct. The sport version is similar to the system we offer for the F8X M3/M4 and contains packing material while the Race version we offer here in the US has no additional packing material. Let us know should you have any additional questions. Talk to you soon.

-So I looked at the following video again and the Sport version with stock midpipes weighs 23.5kg/51.7lbs. Given that the Race version (with the same 70SG tips) weighs 17.5kg/38.5lbs, I have a feeling the Sport version might be lighter because the stock midpipes should weigh more than a mere 6kg/13.2lbs considering their length and secondary cats.

I wouldn’t be super concerned about the weight. Been driving with it for the past 2 days now and there is no discernible difference in performance. The biggest things is that it looks great now and the sound is much, much, much better.

I'll see if I can snap a few this afternoon. It's been a bit rainy but I can get some pics. I still need to do a better job lining up the tips, but it's highly adjustable.

As for video, no go pro, but I'll see I can borrow one in the next few weeks.

Might be a stupid question, but because the stock exhaust needs to be cut, if ever needing to return to stock, I assume the best option would be to weld it back on? Any other options?

I think there are clamps to attach the cut muffler to the midpipe so no need to weld.

My plan is to simply buy two clamps, not going to bother with welding if I ever decide to go back to stock exhaust or sell the car.

@nesnah Welding is an option but easiest and cheapest to go back to the stock system would be to purchase a couple of these sleeves and use them to mate the two same size diameter pipes back together. Done deal!!

Yes, it is! The Race version is using less packing material for a more aggressive sound. That being said, REMUS is never obnoxiously loud. The Race version has been the primary option for US customers for the M2 Competition as well as the E92 M3 and other models.

The following images document the differences in design between the Race and Sport version. The Sport version is primarily offered for the European market in order to meet the strict noise regulations. Here in the US we stock the Race version but the Sport version can be special ordered.
