If you use the previously stated CS production of about 2,200 and back the CS total out there would be 30.186 Competition models worldwide.

Yeah, there’s no way it sold more than F8x or E9x. I almost never see M2s in the wild. Maybe if you don’t combine the coupe, sedan, and vert.

OG is effectively a different car.

I heard the guy who used to make a detailed breakdown (colors, DCT/manual, options, regions) lost access to the information. He did a breakdown on F80, but lost access before 2020 so couldn't do it for F82, which ended production in 2020, and the same thing goes for F87.

That should show "E9x" M3 for that total. There were only 9674 E90 M3s produced worldwide (and 5867 imported to USA/Canada) for example.

Also, the total for F8x M3 and M4 BMW has stated was ">111,000" as shown in their marketing material:

I’m over in Brooklyn NY I’ve seen 2 comps quite a few OGs.
They really do seem rare I’m sure I just need to seek them out.
I have a 21 last off the line I was lucky to get if after the Covid. My rep could not get one built for me. They were producing the CS’s which I have an allocation for and when I heard it was 83K I was like nope I waited and waited. They had one there it had more than I wanted and they actually gave me some money off, which is rare but I’m not complaining glad I sold my 18 LCI and pulled the trigger on the Comp what a great car.
It would be nice to know the numbers in detail.

Well I think most of those 60K are not in the U.S./Canada. Apparently (according to the article on the previous page) only 19 percent of those 60K cars came to the U.S. That's 11,400-ish F87's total in America. With just under 7K of those being OG M2's it means the Comp is actually pretty rare here.

I think there were something like 4000 MKIV Supras with a 6-speed and Twin-Turbos in the U.S. originally. So we could be looking at similar production numbers for M2 Comps(in the US.)

as it outsold the E46 coupe by around 4k units.
