Guys, please put spoilers or spaces or other warnings. I'm still on s2 of the original Dexter

I need to revisit Your Honor. I watched the first and maybe second episode and found it disturbing. My sister just talked me into Sons Of Anarchy. I watched the first two episodes last night.

I thought Your Honor was very good.

SOA started off pretty good but it seemed to have a good season and then a bad season and then repeated. Worth watching, but like a lot of series, it started a lot better than it ended. I tried watching the spinoff of it but couldn't get into it.

This goes one of two ways for Dexter. Either the show ends with him or the boy taking out the girlfriend as she knows too much, or, she locks him up and the boy is the star of a new series.

The dark feel you are talking about is because for the first time they showed us a proper dismembering and with the kid present to boot.

I get the dark feel from the setting, not just from the actions. The cold winter in an upstate town. Also from Dexter's demeanor. He seems dark now, where he was whistling, smirking and swinging his bag in Miami. I think it's intentional.

Still haven't managed to finish season 7 & 8, so I can start the new season.

Midnight Mass on Netflix is decently disturbing.

It's also decently shit. Like most stuff on Netflix, could have just been a fucking movie instead of taking 7 hours to get to the point.

It isn't just Netflix my friend. We have become a nation of disposable tangible items and draw out, for as long as possible, non-tangible items.

Most things now that are entertainment related, are just watchable click-bait.

Draw us in and waste our time.

So, do I continue with Sons of Anarchy or start Breaking Bad? I’m normally not a big TV person but these past few months (years actually) has put me in a funk and I enjoy keeping my brain occupied with nonsense.

I never got into Breaking Bad, the I watched the first few episodes and wanted to slit my wrists. It was so depressing, I know it's loved by many, maybe I'll give it another shot. S of A was good until they went to Ireland and then it just became ridiculous to me.

No way! You haven't watched Breaking Bad? You're in for a treat even though there are some annoying aspects therein. Imho its spinoff Better Call Saul is even better since Vince honed his craft even more. Real quality writing (the first few seasons of Fargo too, but they got worse the past few seasons so I gave up on that).

Breaking Bad by a mile. Wish I never watched it so I could watch it for the first time now.

Breaking Bad no contest at all. SOA gets better with time but the body count is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS in this little small town. As if it wouldn't go unnoticed by the feds even, it's bedlam. Same with the new Dexter, this small town, too many missing bodies, it'd be a national story.

Unpopular opinion but TV is really poor right now, there's very little of proper quality. THere are so many avenues for content that everything is drawn out, the story doesn't progress. Yellowjackets for example, should be really good, there's a great premise, but it's done NOTHING for weeks.

I paced myself and only watched the first 4 episodes.

I'll eventually watch it but it's getting long in the tooth. At first this series was a fun novelty and throwback of the original but it's losing steam for sure. How much more can they do of Cobra Kai vs. Miyagi-do Karate vs. (insert random new dojo).

I absolutely agree. I expected so more from the latest season; however, I found myself getting bored, even dozing off several times. This show, in my opinion, has now “jumped the shark” but yet there is another Season coming! To final your point, the plot that seems to have taken so many bites of the apple, its swallowed the core.

I think you can do both, no? Breaking Bad is one of the best television series I've ever seen. The character arcs for both Walter White and Jessie Pinkman are unbelievable. Hats off to Vince Gilligan, Mark Johnson and all the folks who brought this series to the masses. Like everything else YMMV...

I don't watch that much TV. I'm going to do Breaking Bad.
