Lol some real clowns on this forum if you think that a tuned M2C is giving any trouble to a .2 3RS. M2C should have moved over several times. The 3RS driver also sucks.

Get your heads out of the brands ass.

Shows much difference a driver and traffic can make though. It was fun to watch.

Not sure on the torque numbers, but if you factor in the weight difference, the GT3RS still makes more horsepower (to the wheels). Can't lie about the value proposition there though with the M2 if that's what your intention is to do w/ it.

Since when is a tuned M2C a match for GT3RS. All we can say here is that the M2C has a better driver. The Porsche is in another realm of performance/handling.

Lol at some of the people here. Adam Lz built his Evo and it actually was faster on a track than his GT3rs. GT3rs's are track monsters but throw enough money into anything and it'll be fast

Huh? The M2 was holding his own and in certain parts of the track was way ahead of the GT3RS...

That M2 fast...

I think if the track was clear early and Porsche driver not yapping he could of passed him.

I'll take the Porsche no matter lap times 🌞

Yeah but this M2 has minor mods according to this thread. It's not a fully built track car.

Watching the video, that guy in the GT3RS is not a very good driver. It's funny reading some of the comments here. An M2C simply isn't in the same league as a GT3RS

I got over 10 years of PCA club racing 930/911’s at the Glen and Pocono The beauty of 911 track cars are not the ultimate speed or power but the ability to do it over and over with duration. They are not high hp monsters.
There isn’t much to interpret in the videos posted above on the ring. They are going all out to the drivers best ability and in traffic. What in the videos shown above has you thinking the GT3RS is holding back?? He isn’t as his rpms are screaming to keep up. On the straits he is giving it all it has to keep on the M2C and the M2C is pulling on him.
With that much "racing experience", you seem to be misreading what is going on. If a car exits a corner ahead of another one, it will distance the car behind it simply because it starts to accelerate sooner. If you watch the video carefully, you'll notice that it is in the corners that the GT3RS loses time, which tells me that the M2C driver is much better than the GT3RS' one. In the long uphill section after Bergwerk where power matters, you can see the RS clearly gaining on the M2c. With equal drivers, there's no M2C that can keep up with a GT3RS.

I own a M4 but sorry BMW fans, no M cars can keep up with a GT3RS or any 911s in general.

Yeah that M2C should have let the GT3RS by on multiple occasions.

Why not let him pass, he's been on your ass for a while...let him through and see if you can keep up, kind of like drift races, minimizes the risk of damage to the cars and it's just as fun.
My guess is the Porsche would have made small gains.

Likewise an interesting comment, and somewhat provocative. Well done, sir! I’m not sure why a modded m2c couldn’t be as fast as a ~10 year old GT3. It really depends on modifications, but it could easily be in same league in terms of track times. In terms of racing pedigree... I guess not.

That ain't a 10 year old GT3RS...

On the other had though, BMW ///M does have a hell of a nice racing pedigree

Not a bad showing for the little M2C. Looks like a ton of fun too. Considering you can get 3 M2Cs for the price of a GT3RS, that's really cool. Both of those drivers could drive too. Would love to take my car out there and let her rip.

You’re right. I stand corrected! Even more impressive m2c was able to compete, but agree modern GT3 is on another level. Regardless, the modifications make it a somewhat pointless comparison.

Why just not refer to data.

A heavily modded M2C (TPS Performance) lapped the Nurburgring in 7:12 a stock GT3RS 991.2 does 6:56.

Clearly the GT3RS will be the faster car. Now for those that mentioned the driver of the GT3RS sucks he has posted times of 7:07 in his YouTube channel, if true I would love to see any of those calling on the driver of the 3RS to give it a try at beating his time Good Luck!!

Clearly both are proficient drivers and the M2C is a great value proposition specially when you throw some money at it.

The M2C was being slowed by other cars during those times. It pulls away quite easily once clear.
