True, lot of pissed off people in the past with quality and figment of these aftermarket parts

I don't really understand why vendors haven't started producing these parts in fiberglass. Carbon Fiber is nice, sure but if you're going to end up painting the entire hood anyways, why pay a premium in the thousands for countless hours of craftsmanship for something you won't even see.

Carbon Fiber products are only expensive because of the labour. Carbon Fiber itself as a material is relatively cheap to produce. Maybe I'm just a cheap person, idk but 6000$ for minimal weight reduction and painted over cf. Err, just give me the cheap fiberglass.

A couple of vendors here in the US that sell them.

Here's one of them that I've had a good experience with:

thank you good sir, now i would just wait for their blk friday sales

THE GTS hood is cool but wouldn't it be troublesome in pouring rain? i also like the motorsport24 gtr hood but worried that it may leak too much water in engine compartment

cheers,

Agreed; if I was to do this I'd go OEM. I've learned the hard way in the past not to go with aftermarket parts anymore. The fitment is always way off.

Either fitment or it's shitty CF from what I'm seeing. This is the first car I'm modifying like this, and the diffuser, while fitment is 97% there, I'm not happy with the quality of the CF at all. Sucks cuz it was a 3 piece that required drilling, but luckily the drilling was in locations where it doesn't matter too much.

I'm going to try RKP next because that's an IND company so I know their quality/fitment will be top notch.

Sorry to derail!

Ouch indeed. I'm going to impatiently wait until someone makes a replica. I totally love the shape of this compared to the GTS hood.

Nah. I had a hood with an opening like that on my S2000, they have rain trays and the spot over where it sits doesn't have any electrical components.
