Newbie chargepipe help
Hi. Need some help. I'm not too familiar with engines. Have a stock M2.
This morning while accelerating uphill, my car made a thud and lost power. After limping home, I popped the hood and noticed a tube was loose. Internet research led me to believe this was the chargepipe coming off. Seems this is an issue. So I put it back on and tried to get the connection as snug as possible. Car drives normally now but when looking at the connection, there looks to be a gap. Does this seem like the normal connection or did I miss something when placing the chargepipe back on? Or do you think there is a crack? Any other advice? Attaching a couple pics. Thanks for the help! |

I tried to pull it down and it didn't come off. I guess I assumed the connection would look clean and snug. |

Cool. I'll inspect it a little closer and check the o ring.
And I'll go aftermarket if anything broken. But I don't want to start going down that road unless I need to cuz I can see it heading to doing other things... Thanks all for the help. |

Have to admit I have an aftermarket CP a forge and it is securely on but ever so slightly at an angle. I'm not having any boost leak or performance problems just assume there's some play there?

+1 its only a matter of time before stock CP fully breaks, even on a fully stock car.
