Got my LCI last week
I probably have waited longer than most people. Here is what happened.
I live in SE Michigan and about 20 miles north of Detroit. Put my deposit for MY17 at the dealership in early Jun 2016. I know it was already quite late (my son was born in May so that was the absolute priority back then), and I was 7th person in the waiting list. Early March 2017 the dealer told me someone backed out, and I can place the order with an MT/LBB/ExePack. I got a price quote at MSRP - 2500 fleet discount. So I ordered with the expected production being late June, which was supposed to be the last batch of MY17. Later in Jun I learnt that it turned out they could not finish all the MY17 orders and started MY18 earlier than planned (maybe due to the steering issue news?). So eventually the car turned out to be the first batch of the LCI's. I got the car last week (and my son is 15 mos... that's how long I have been waiting ) from the dealership and they still honored the price of 2017MSRP - 2500 discount. So the out of door price is about 57K with 6% MI sales tax and plate/tag. (Sticker is slightly less than 57K) Did not drive the car too much during the weekend because I still need to take my kids from places to places. Need to get two extra car seats for the kids then I can daily the car. Don't know how many people are putting two cars seats at the back of an M2 or other 2 series, but I will post the result to see how they go... |

Congrats! You definitely win the waiting competition.
I've seen three baby/child seats in the back of a Megane RS Cup, if that could be pulled off, I'm sure you will be fine |

congrats. I used to have E92 328 coupe that I put 2 baby seats with no problems for 3 years. I'll be doing the same thing with the M2.

I'm surprised he finally added "please," before it has just been "Photos"

Congrats, I got my car one year and 3 days after I first started calling dealerships the day they announced the M2, so I know about the waiting. The good thing is you have a great car and young kids, most of us have had to forgo hot cars while our kids were young. Congrats on both.

Thanks I have the exact same setup.
Although it is preferred to have the younger kid rear-facing, it is almost impossible to do that with another seat in place. Last edited by shsolus; 09-05-2017 at 01:06 PM.. |

yes. I used to climb in through my 4yo's side to drop my 1.5yo into his seat. Now THAT was a time period that I don't miss, but totally do-able and I survived.

I could not to do so with mine. My kids are 45mos and 15 mos.
It is possible to put a kid older than 1yr forward facing but it is not recommended. See the following link from NHTSA - https://www.safercar.gov/parents/Car....htm?view=full |

if you don't have a strong back, just go get a beater minivan until the kids grow up. haha. I did buy a beater 4 door car once I bought the M2, not because of the kids but to save the m2 from parallel parking bumper car actions at work.
