This and it would be a stupid car. The back room is going to be nonexistent so why bother

See I would disagree with you - the E46 ad F87 are very close in size, and there were 4 door version of the E46 (obviously). I think my F80 would be perfect if it were ~10-15% smaller. Aka, a M2GC.

I know for certain that I will pick one up. I passed on the current M2Comp because of lack of doors, color options, and the fact that BMW was slow/nil to offer some of the upgrades/addons I was looking for. I would also prefer a 4 door if it were offered in similar dimension and weight.
I bought a 4door jeep and turned it into a rock crawler instead.

I have been waiting for the m2gc for a while now... hope it is still coming. if not I have a few cars in the garage to hold me over

Honestly, if I were to get a small 4 door, I'd rather get the RS3. For me for the size of the 2 series, it has to be coupe only.

Honestly I Love Audi, I have a B7 RS4.
The things that would set a M2GC apart from the RS3 are RWD and MANUAL Audi doesnt offer either sadly, if they did I would already own the RS3.
To each their own, both would be great cars but I'm leaning towards the more fun option.

It actually looks better that I ever would have thought as a 4 door.

This rumor keeps circulating...but I can’t imagine there’s any way to make it happen. There is no platform from which it can come. The 1 series hatch in Europe is an option... but it’s a hatch and not a sedan ( i’d Buy a 1 series hatch M-car in a heartbeat). The car this render is based on. Would be the 2 series active tourer out of China but it’s FWD platform so not able to be made an M with any ease. I love the concept, I just don’t see where this car could come from.

Yeah what is the point? If you want 4 doors just get an M3.

I doubt that's gonna happen. They have a FWD 1-series sedan (China and Mexico) on the UKL platform that is gonna be released as a 2-series GC this year in the US. I don't think they're gonna make an M car that is FWD based.

The RS3 has a TON of merit in my opinion, we just saw it again at the Chicago Auto Show and it is one cool little car. Not to mention the 5 cylinder and the great power and sound it makes.

(BMW pulled out of the show by the way - I was really disappointed about that)

It would have been nice to eyeball the RS3 vs. the M2 - but the RS3 almost looks smaller to my eyes. That could because of the less aggressive styling, I am not sure. But it's an awesome car.

RS3 probably not available in a Manual I'm guessing 🤔

No, unfortunately not - DSG only. Which is a missed opportunity for Audi, for sure.
