Exactly. It's like fishing. I could just throw a huge net into the river to catch a million fish, but fly fishing is as much about the journey as the end result. As cars become more and more electric and automated, the "art" of the manual shifting car will remain important to some of us.

But I also recall that many moons ago Richard 'Hamster' Hammond coined the BMW 1M as "Driftmeister" (Drift Master) in a review in a car magazine.

hello all
Thanks for posting the pictures, great info like always. For me the Cs will be just like that, i wish for a different exaust final box, something a bit less of a eye sore. And please say yes for the carbon side vents bmw. Please please. I´m still number one at my dealer to get one, one foot in and another at the 718 gt4, decisions to be made Best regards |

The functional side air vents feature in the M2 M Performance Parts catalogue (BMW part # 41 35 2 449 803 (left) and 41 35 2 449 804 (right) - "Side wall in carbon fiber" - "Seitenwand Carbon"). So BMW M doesn't need to develop those anymore. They could include those on the M2 CS if they want. But will they ?

I guess either the M2CS will come with MPerformance coil-overs or adaptive suspension. I'm wondering if there will be any hardware mods on the engine (doubtful) or just a different tune. It is shaping up to be a great offering by BMW. It'll be interesting to see where the price point comes in at. Last edited by AlpsRider; 04-16-2019 at 03:33 PM.. |

The question becomes, how much of a premium? The more M performance CF they add from the get-go, the higher the price of admission is going to be. These vents, for example, look great and it's awesome that they're functional, but how much weight do they save? What is my measurable performance benefit for their respective inclusion? It will be interesting to see how "far" they go with the existing M performance CF parts on the CS, because each additional CF part that's included from the start will drive the price up.

Will be eager to get details on the weight for the 6MT version.
'G80 Pure' is losing over 100lbs per reports, so where does the baby M tip the scales at? |
