Finally got my M performance trunk lip from BMWpartpros, after Fedex lost the first one during shipping (yeah right, someone stole that M'Fr).
Anyway, this thing was a PITA to install. Just getting the damn adhesive off the trunk from the stock lip was extremely tedious. Then, the thin strips of 3m tape that came pre-installed didn't make contact with the trunk in the back and there were gaps on both sides. So, I had to remove the lip, remove all the adhesive AGAIN from the trunk and the lip. Re-install some thicker, wider 3m tape and re-install everything. Though tedious, well worth it. It looks awesome now and fits perfectly with no gaps at all. I guess if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself |

Yeah, it was bad enough having to remove the adhesive once, but to do it all over again?? I was beyond pissed off I guess it's better than being pissed on |

Was warm enough to work comfortably in the garage yesterday and no salt on the roads.
I took off the cover, disconnected the battery tender, changed the brake fluid & bled the system, replaced the brake pads, installed the front mud flaps and took her down off the jack stands for the first time in 2 months or so. Went out for a wonderful test drive and plan to head for the hills tomorrow. |

Washed it. Was way overdue.
Also - not today, but I installed the hood insulation from an m240i and WOW what a difference. Not a cheap piece but much quieter. Have some other sound deadening coming from Germany that will be here in two weeks. More exhaust, less wind and tire noise 👍🏼👍🏼 |

Bought a new Conti tire. Got a nail in the sidewall. I was a little surprise. With 8,600 miles I had 9 tread depth in front on both tires and 8 in the back.

Could you make an estimation of how much the insulation weighed?

Use it as an excuse to get PS4S all round. Contis don't last that long anyway. My rears were nearly done at 7,500 miles and no track use. Fronts were fine, but believe me PS4S transforms the car.
