2018 New/used Pricing

Looking to pick up a new or used M2. Prefer 2018. Based on what I've seen, looks like some 1yr old cars out there with MPE (10k miles or so) for about $48k.

I've also got a offer on a new DCT/exec (MSRP is about $60k) for just under $50k. MPE is about $4k so it would be $54k for a new car.

What's the better route? $2k isn't much savings between new and used but add the exhaust in and it makes it considerably more money. I can find 2017 M3's in the $55k range which is what the new M2 would run.

Exhaust can be found cheaper than dealer install. I would go new as you have more warranty, plus bmw ultimate care.

that's why I went with new. Even if you get a CPO 2018 with additional 1 year of warranty its just not worth it since it doesn't include ultimate care. Not to mention resale of a 2nd owner vs 1st owner.

Eh, ultimate care isn't worth that much. It's essentially just a few oil changes.

And the discounts available on lightly used 2018s cover the resale value in a lot of cases.

If you look around, there are better deals to be found.

Are you finding it with 50k with all incentives? Im in the same boat and started searching used at first but then realized with it being 2019 and dealers marking down the LCI 2018 + incentives it brings it down to 50kish.

Unfortunately many new ones that are still available are the 62k+ MSRPs. Would have been nice to find a 6MT/Exec/Color $57k MSRP now with the incentives and dealership pushes.

Yeah but like the previous post says, a lot of the cars are higher MSRP and come out over $50k. Just a few lower MSRP cars left.

I purchased a used 2018 6 months ago, being a private party purchase in AZ I didn't have to pay sales tax. Buying used saved me over $5k on price and another $5k on taxes. Car had less than 4k miles and had ppf on more than half the car, if you are patient and willing to travel to get the car, there are deals.

I just picked up a new 18' LBB/manual/exec that had an MSRP of almost 63k for $51.5 out the door. My other option was a 3,500 mile example but only for 2k less. IMO I would get a brand new 18' if you can get a good deal and just pickup a used M Perf exhaust.
