Rate my imperfect MHD 2+ logs (where possible)
Threw on stage 2+ on Monday.
I had greasy roads and only a few times to do clean pulls. MHD since told me via email should do them in third to redline with DSC off. I'm learning how to read logs and what everything means but want to check broadly that my car isn't struggling to much as want to leave the tune on as it's just great fun, smooth and noisy AF! I see on some of my graphs (three logs) timing correction that I think is minor and understand can happen on stable maps too? Mind you on second plot cyl four appears to need a fair amount of correction and third plot cyl 3 is getting corrected. I'll endeavour to get better logs in near future. For now need my hand holding Hope you can see the link ok I have no idea hehe https://datazap.me/u/3t3p/mhd-2?log=0&data=3-14 TIA Last edited by 3t3p; 06-15-2021 at 03:42 PM.. |

Yes - DSC off and no you won't die especially now as roads are nice and dry.
DCT 3rd (as well as 4th) gear is fine BTW, alas your log is defunkt in terms of harvesting any meaningful data as you need to hold wide open throttle (WOT) throughout a datalogging run. So, once the car is warmed up and you've done a couple of moderate pulls 1st, empty stretch of road, DSC off, 3 &/or 4 th gear, start log at say 1500rpm (MHD should auto-start logging from ~2krpm upwards and then pin the throttle thru to redline and either lift off or go up into the next gear keeping WOT.

Yes MHD said to accelerate part way into next gear. I'm 6MT do can't flat shift BP!
Think 3rd gear is my only hope, top of fourth will be over 100mph lol. To check, DSC off is one press on traction button or we talking about the big boy 5s press on the button? |

mans trans 3rd gear is all you'll need to get some good data.

Incline or decline shouldn't matter. I prefer flat or inclines typically.

It depends - MHD is load based, not boost based. It will add boost to reach the predetermined metrics (load) targets to make make power.

Im a MT trans as well. I like to read logs in Sport plus. I rarely run in dsc fully off and I do believe 1 click of dsc is similar to sport plus.
2nd gear about 3000rpms, roll into it hard, shift into third past 6krpms and stay in it all the way thru third. If there's room hit 4th for brief moment. Gives a good amount of data. |

no, you won't get to that power level without a hpfp upgrade. MHD does indeed have a new OTS tune for upgraded HPFP, but not much media on it and it's called something else than "stage 2+"
bm3 on the other hand, calls their hpfp upgrade tune "stage 2+"
