Just secured a LBB
Just got the call that the dealership was able to secure a 2020 LBB, black wheels, executive pkg, 6MT for me from another dealer. They will contact me tomorrow to let me know the estimated delivery date. I am stupid excited! I come from a long line of mustangs/cobras and am looking forward to my first BMW. I hope the M2 Comp lives up to the reviews.

All good. Like I said, this is my first BMW and they pay for the regular maintenance for first 3 years, so if they tell me to bring it in at 1,200 miles, so they can change some of the fluids, I will without complaint. I am like a sponge right now trying to learn everything I can about the car, engine, chassis. But from my experience I am not waiting until 1,200 miles to enjoy the car, responsibly of course. I am not going to abuse it, but I sure as h*ll am not going to baby it either. ;-) Bed in the rings and the brakes as soon as possible.

Will do. Just heard from the dealer that they added it to their inventory, so I guess the next step is for them to finalize the transportation to here.
It has 12 miles on the odo and was housed on the other dealers showroom floor. |

Oh man i'm so jealous and happy for you at the same time. I'm still trying to talk to the sales rep i was working with but it almost seems like the guy doesnt want to sell me the car. He keeps telling me stuff like "we cant offer that pricing since the other one was discounted" when theres one thats not even fully built yet being listed at below MSRP. Its just getting more and more frustrating for me.

Can't say as I understand that logic? Discounted like a rebate that isn't being offered anymore? Are there any other dealers close to you? If that is an option, I would call another dealer and see what they can work for you. That does suck!

My car is supposed to be delivered this Friday! So now I am trying to work out if it is best to go this Friday or wait until Saturday. Since it is being delivered Friday, I am thinking Saturday would be smarter to make sure the car is ready to be picked up.

Why not Friday? I dont think it takes much for the dealer to prep a car for sale. Of course if they can't prep your car on Friday, they'll let you know.

Secondly, I would have to take a day off of work. Third, Without knowing the actual delivery time on Friday I do not want the dealer to rush anything, and I do not want to feel rushed nor take delivery after dark as I want to be able to see the car for inspection purposes. And yes they will have it inside under the fluorescent lighting (which hides all kinds of things). Fourth, I have waited a while, so what is one more evening. :-) |
