rear brake squeak

Just under 300 miles here and I noticed I'm getting squeak from the rear rotors. Has anybody else heard this? Thinking it might just be the brakes breaking in as I first noticed it after releasing the parking brake and backing out of my driveway. Today I'm hearing it when slowing down like it might be a hub or something. I'll probably just monitor it until I do my 1200 mile, but wanted to know if this was something common.

Could be 1) normal (because big brakes squeak), 2) a rock stuck behind the brake shield, or 3) something else. 1200 mile service will be a good time to ask the dealer to take a look.

Is the car kept outside? Do you live in a humid and or rainy climate? Does the noise go away after a few solid aggressive stops?

If so to any of these, probably completely normal.

Yeah, was gunna say this. Those rotors rust very easily. A few hard stops usually cleans them up real quick.

I'm getting it too. Started around 400 miles and still going strong at 550 miles. Gets louder not quieter so not rust or anything else like that. Of course i'll be mentioning it at the break-in service but seems odd to get this kind of squeal so early.

Bed them in with a bunch of high speed hard stops.
