Picture Request: White M2C w/Frozen Gold 763M

I'm on the fence about the 763Ms in gold. I'm curious if there are any white M2C owners out there that have these. It seems to be more difficult than I imagined finding a picture of this combination.

If you have them, what are your thoughts on the color? The brightness seems to vary from picture to picture. Sometimes they look completely washed out and almost silver, and sometimes they seem like a very bright gold, that looks amazing.

Depends n the lighting. I bought the 763m in frozen gold based on the photos bmw had used to promote the wheel. I was in hopes that instead of the Bright Gold the wheels would deliver & in real life look more silver like in most all the pics. Well now I have a m2C Subaru STI. Yuck. Too gold for me.

So now I’m either going to pay for a color change or sell the wheels to someone who wants that look. My car is BSM. Perhaps I’m just old but I don’t like the flashy dramatic color pop. Anybody out there who’d like a set of 763m in frozen gold, PM me.

Apparently you can't send PMs in this sight. PMs are restricted to vendors only. 1- What do you want for the wheels
2- ^^^ Is that with or without tires
3- Can you post some solid pictures so I can get an accurate idea of the color?

I don't get the reference. But I'm guessing that means they are bright gold?

If you look at the BMW images, such as the ones here:
https://www.getbmwparts.com/p-f87-m2...t-36112459536c

They don't look very bright. Very washed out.

Yup, a lot things in Dubai are gold plated from wheels to: you name it, a status symbol for wealth.

From your link those wheels are $5300, they might as well be gold plated, that is a spendy stock wheel, even with the tires included. And that is on sale from $6400.

Agreed. They come with cup2s, which retail for around $1,400. So around 4k for the wheels themselves I guess, if you want to account for that.

Indeed. That is a forged wheel so it commands a high price. A similar wheel from Vorsteiner would be at least that much money or more. It could be a good wheel for the price and it does shave 6.6 pounds of unsprung weight from each wheel. I think you would notice the performance gain and so would your wallet.

Get them treated in the BMW 'Orbit Grey' finish, keep the wheels and thank me later.

Here they are on an M4 CS (original) (more pictures: here).

Is the OEM finish a paint or powder coat, do you know? I assume all OEM wheels are painted but...

Those wheels are gorgeous. I saw them on a LM Grey car in a showroom near me. I think Gold looks better on a white car personally. Plus no one ever has them, which is a plus for me.

After much debate I finally grabbed a set of these today. It was super rainy here, so I didn't get any good pics. I'll try to clean up the car and post some proper pics soon if anyone is interested. They do seem to look quite different depending on the lighting conditions.

I would very much like to see more pictures of this. Specially in direct sunlight. I've seen people complain about how gold they are, but every picture I see, the color seems muted.

Different strokes....I fell in love with the brochure pics from BMW. The frozen gold wheels were almost a light shade of two tone silver/ gold in the brochure.

In the pics, they were NOT gold, but in reality they are GOLD. Think Subaru STI
My car is BSM. I absolutely hated the gold wheels on my black car. I guess I’m getting old.

I had them powder coated silver by Killer Koatings near Cincinnati Ohio. Very pleased with how they turned out.

Those picks kind of confirmed why gold doesn't work well on white cars. I've made a lot of wheel color mistakes over the years and this is one of them. Gold really only works on black and dark greens, reds, or blues IMO. That said the only person that has to like them is the owner of the car as everyone has different tastes.

To me, those pictures are exactly why it does work.
