Is there a good "OEM 6 pots install onto F8x" DIY and if so please share it.

Thanks

How much was the ceramics conversion??? It might be expensive, but it's definitely resellable.

Whatever about the CCB which are pretty OTT, I get that the OEM M4 brakes are a direct bolt on but if going to this amount of effort and expense, would it not be better to go with an aftermarket specialist such as Brembo? Whatever compromises BMW made with designing the M4 system are potentially compounded by putting that application on a different car.

I would think that a purpose-built system from the aftermarket would be better?

Hey Imran@Evolve,

your conversion to CBB is very interesting. A friend of mine would like to do the same - but we are wondering how the brakes have to be coded in the car.

Which coding did you do to the car? Did you change the brake booster / brake servo?

Could you provide any further information despite the "hardware install" (Coding, changing values, etc.)?

Would be great & very helpful!

Cheers!

We didn't do any coding. We did change the brake booster/servo as per the retro fit kit.

I've been running the kit for 5k miles now with no issues and amazing braking performance.

So you just changed the brakes and the brake booster/servo and thats all? Any Problems with anti-lock braking System?

Looks great, I'm tempted, but you need to get rid of the space between tires and fender openings. Looks straight forward, how is the booster swap?

was the swap from the steels to the CCB straightforward? Does it involve additional parts than just the M3/M4 CCB kit?

I'm looking to do this to my M2 so any info would be greatly appreciated

Did you re-use existing M2 back plates to fit 6pot calipers and 400mm discs ?

I'm bumping this back up - Are there any other BMW models (aside from now the M2C) that use the same calipers? I.e. M5, M6, etc? It appears that the older M5, M6 and M3/4 all use the same 6 piston calipers. Am I wrong?

The callipers appear to be the same (you can even have them in blue), but they lack the brackets to mount them on the M2.

Someone probably makes them though.
