Thanks,it sounds like you won't be ordering an M2 but could you e mail him back and ask him if they have all the ordering info in there system and can order customer cars?

At $55K I would have order one but at $61K I'm out as I consider that it does not worth it.

Considering the BMW 1M had a MSRP of $53.6k in 2011, $55k would have been a real bargain...

Effectivement !

But I'll buy a M235i with options and if I find it too powerless, there are plenty of options for that (JB4, AFE chip, Dinan, etc.)

The good thing with a modest M235i is that I will not be in the cop's focus... During the 5 years that I owned my 911 turbo I was on their focus all the time and did not appreciated it at all ! But it was a red car, way too visible...

Agree, but I love bargain ! I also hate to pay too much for something that does not worth it, in my own point of view of course.

I'm out !
Not a horrible price if true... $14,000 less than the base M4. Seems about right. Interested in the options and price levels for those.

We all love good deals! BTW, great looking 996 turbo! I was also considering a 997.2 S too until the M2 was released. Since my brother owns a 1M, I was going to continue the collection.

Let see what is what options are included in the base Canadian price?

Edited: 996 (typo for 997 turbo)

It is quite expensive but I want a new M car.The new M3 and M4 are just to big for me.My 2005 E46 M3 cost me $72,000 back in 05 and I don't plan on getting a fully loaded M2 because I know there are options I don't want.So the M2 I order will probably be a little bit less than what I paid for my M3.I am hoping for about $68,000 with the options I want.

It has been a great 8 months following this car guys! However, 61k is simply just too high for me. I wish you all the best with the M2, it will be an exceptional car. For me, I now must choose between either an E92 M3 or a C63 507.

61K is reasonable IMO... can we assume that this will come with navigation standard? what do you guys think? the m235 navigation was like 4K option...that makes a big difference

I don't think that navigation will be there without paying options to get it. The simpliest way to know for now is to go on bmw.ca and check what are M4 options and options groups. I guess M2 ones will be very similar.

My impressions are that a $61K M2 will be equiped like as a base M235i is.

At $61K I guess it will be a base model, no sunroof, no navigation, no DCT, no rear view camera, etc. In short, the options should be the same as M4 or M3 ones I guess. If I'm right, $61K is at least $6K too expensive.

Telephony, and 3900 for dct. no mention of sunroof as standard or as an option.

Confirmed. $61,000 is loaded except DCT. I don't think Canadian cars get a sunroof.

I think that is a great price for a fully optioned car. That's $33,000 less than my comparably equipped M4.

If a 6MT BMW M2 LBB fully loaded comes at $62.5k, I will still be interested. Do you think there will be room for some "rebate"?

Don't know about the rebate but the pricing is correct as posted above

I'm personally very happy. As I mentioned, the car is $30,000 less than my M4 comparably equipped I might need to upgrade my wife's SUV to an X5 with the money I'm saving
