they would be better for cleaning
i just did my first clean of the rust/ brake dust after painstaking cleaning, i did dry by hand, but i dont have a blower, i decide to drive a little, so the brakes will wipe off the rust, and i look and inside the wheel, the brown rust water got thrown around the brakes and covered the inner wheel! how can i do a clean wheel, and it stays clean and all that brown shit is gone! |

I use Porterfield R4S pads and the dusting is less with OEM bite. There are a ton of pad threads though about different owners preferences to solve this problem. As far as cleaning goes, the next time you wash your car, I would suggest taking the time to remove each wheel individually, clean them very thoroughly (wheel cleaner scrub, clay bar contaminants, and possibly polish any really stuck on residue if your wheels are really bad). Then use Carpro Eraser to prep for a ceramic coating. I used CQuartz UK on mine, but any good quality coating will do. Now my maintenance washes are a snap. Most just comes off with just a pressure washer, the little that remains is easily taken off with a wheel cleaner and wheel brush. |
