New LBB M2 joins the fold.
Hi All,
So with a heavy heart I am in the process of saying goodbye to my E46 M3 CSL after 3 wonderful years and many happy miles. Here's a photo from the first road trip I did with it: However, I'm filling this huge hole in my life with a beautiful new LBB M2...which I am already very, very happy with! Here's a photo taken by the detailer after a deep clean, paint protection film application and ceramic coating: The intention is to drive the wheels off this thing, track days, road trips etc so hopefully I'll be sharing lots of stories as time goes on! |

Hey. im a CSL owner as well. but i wont sell it. too close to my heart. and the noise is uncomparable. its one and only sound. No m4 m5 m6 m2 m1 will come even closer to this sound. Maybe we met at the 2013 Homecoming tour?

That's a hell of a car to be getting rid of as values of the E46 M3 explode. How does the M2 compare so far?

To answer the questions...yes, the CSL is an EPIC car. I've had mine for nearly 4 years and loved every minute I've spent driving it. If I had space for 2 cars (or more) I would absolutely be keeping it. However, that's not the case, my life has to work with just one car and it was time to hand the CSL on.
I'm well aware the values are only going up and if I wanted an 'investment' I'd never consider changing it, but I want a car I can drive without worrying about the damage I'm doing to its potential value by adding miles. It's a car, it's supposed to be driven, not sat in a garage being looked at. The M2 will never match the noise...but that's the only real area that it falls short in as far as I'm concerned. I've just done a 1000 mile trip to Germany and back over Easter to go drifting with some friends. The M2 is comfortable and modern and easy to drive on the motorway, the stereo is great and the apple car play is very easy to use. Heated seats are a luxury that was very welcome on the cold mornings as well. So it's great to do long trips in...and when you get to the track...you simply turn off traction control and you can behave like an absolute hooligan. I loved the CSL...and now I love the M2. I feel lucky to have been able to own a CSL (before the prices went nuts) and now I feel equally as lucky to own an M2. Now if an M2 CSL comes along...well, it would be hard not to consider another change! |
