Bimmercode already does this when clutch not needed to press in on car start is enabled.

Getting it today

Edit - which adapter are you guys using?

Editt- im readjng the bimmercode coding options. From how i learned driving, isnt it always better to start the engine with the clutch pedal pressed?
Also for you who have the clutchess engine start code turned on. You can still start up the old fashion way right and still with the auto rev match turned off?

OMG, are you kidding me? That may be the answer to my prayers. I have hated the auto rev match on my 2017 since I got it and would LOVE to get rid of it on my 2020 coming in three weeks. Because of it, I always drive in sport + with the nannies fully off.

But, please explain what MThor Flasher is and how I get it done on my car. Explain it as if you were explaining to a 63 year old Ludddite who doesn't even own a smart phone. I can't and won't even try "coding" my car by myself, so if that is what is involved, I need to know who and where does it or can do it for me.

And while we're at it, I understand that the 2020 has backup camera and lane departure cops built in. Is there a way to permanently turn off the backup camera (at least that damn, annoying beeper) and the lane departure rumble strip effect? My wife's 3 series wagon has those and I would love to turn them off permanently on my M2C when it arrives. I know I can turn them off every time I get in the car, but I'd love to disable them permanently. If not coding, is there a fuse that can be pulled that will turn off the backup beeper at least?

You'll need a smartphone

I followed the link in your posting above, but it's all gibberish to me. Do you think there's any chance of finding someone (with a smartphone) that could do this for me? Someone in Connecticut? Help!

I used the blue tooth adapter the Bimmercode site recommended.

I've coded it off and it works fine. You still have to press the clutch to start the engine. I'm not sure why it reads that instead of disable auto rev match.

Side note, when disabling auto rev match, it will also disable rev matching when Upshifting. I didn't realize the car was trying to do this until I disabled auto rev matching. So basically, the upshifts are nicer as well!

Worth noting that bimmercode looks to be able to turn this feature off, at a fraction of the cost. The two apps are direct competitors though so it's a good idea to read through the features and buy what best suits your needs.

Bimmerpost member ryem3 is in the Westchester/CT area and seems to be knowledgable and handy--you may try to PM him.

Bimmercode is a neat little app, for about $25 id recommend it. Not even the price of a full tank of gas.

This is the first car ive driven with auto rev match. And i knew from day one it does more than just blips the throttle when you shift.

I officially coded auto rev match off and its completely, 100% off regardless of the DSC setting.

For those of you that feel like your m2c is immune to stalling is because of the auto rev match. Even with DCS off the system is working in the background. Now the clutch/gas relation to the rpm feels like my previous car.

Ive come to the conclusion that i do like auto rev match, except for when i down shift and that DCS has to be turned off to turn off the feature.

So as of right now i am keeping auto rev matched deactivated thru bimmercode.

I'm totally sold. I should be picking up my car in the next week and that is first thing (well, second, after painting that ugly silver exhaust) I'm getting done. I've driven my 2017 for three years and never got around to finding someone to recode that damn rev matching for me. Someone (was it you) recommended a shop near me that might do the recoding.

Bimmercode is LITERALLY plug and play. You just need to buy one of the compatible OBD II device from like amazon and that is it.
You dont need anyone to code it for you.

I came from vw golfs. I had the ross tech and that thing is expensive and crazy complicated to work on.

With the bimmercode app you literally just go down a list of options and click yes or no.
