Thank you so much for this, especially all the links to the parts. No anti-seize on the plugs?

Nope no antiseize (bmw also stipulates not to put anything on the threads of the spark plugs) for a couple of reasons:

1) it can leak and get onto the tips of the plugs causing misfires.

2) antiseize is a torque multiplier which can cause stripping of threads in the spark plug wells or even breaking of the spark plug.

3) Bosch plugs and NGK plugs are all plated or coated with a metallic compound resistent to corrosion or siezing so you do not need to add anything to prevent siezure the plugs are already designed with this inmind.

a) bosch nickle plates their plugs to eliminate corrosion and siezure and specifically says no anti-sieze is required: https://www.boschautoparts.ca/docume...20Brochure.pdf

b) NGK uses a special trivalent zinc chromate shell plating that eliminate corrosion or siezure to the head again eliminating the need for antisieze.
https://ngksparkplugs.com/en/resourc...ut-spark-plugs

So the conclusion is that antisieze on most modern day plugs (generally the "chrome" plated ones are designed for use without antisieze and that is pretty much all plugs these days) is an obsolete and outdated practice that does more harm than good.

Nice video as always!!

Would it be a problem to remove all the black pieces in the windshield area, including the center one, and then remove the noise insulation foam?

Thank you man. Exactly, to add to F87 source's reply: the box of the spark plugs also indicates to not use any antiseize.

Thank you my man. I wouldn't believe so no, and come to think of it, it would perhaps even be a bit easier. Especially when putting everything back together afterwards.
