Fantastic build. You should nickname her "The Phoenix". Seriously brought back from the dead.

I ran that setup for about a week then i realised on heavy load that the car would go straight into limp... yup you guessed it we maxed out the stock fuel pump ( what a surprise! ) ordered in a stage1 dorch "good for 550whp" installed it myself and got my file back from dorch instantly and got it flashed on all was good.
This bit is interesting. Stage 2 with simple bolt-on's required you to upgrade your fuel pump? I've heard of that with stage 2.5 (upgraded turbo), but not on the stock turbo.

What do you think caused it?

Great story by the way!

my nutty local tuner, i ask him to max everything and he'll do it, it's actually a real common problem over here in the UK M2 stock pump is just cheeks tbh
that stage2 / "2+" or whatever you want to call it dyno'd at 444BHP I'll post up the dyno sheet its somewhere in the boot later today or tomorrow, my friend running a similar stage2 no turbo upgrade is running into the same fueling issues also, sadly we can't get corn on the old pump in the uk maybe soon we can only hope!

So it's a combination of your super aggressive custom tune and weak octane gas? We have 93 readily available here, and I was planning to go to Stage 2 with CP+DP+IC and an OTS map, but no fuel pump.

nah it was tuned to 99 RON on tesco mom, it was just a super over the top tune for the very little supporting mods at the time

May I suggest a mod?

Get the lci taillights (euros should be easy to find considering your location lol). You upgraded the front to look like an m2c but you still have the pre lci og tailights. Either way, car looks fantastic.. I miss my pre lcis a little.

I don't. Previous owner had them installed. I'll be getting retuned in a few weeks and I'll post some logs when I do. From my understanding, unless you're tracking its not necessary. But then again, less heat equals happier engine

Thanks for the response Seb guess I’ll skip doing all my other radiators for now!

Our pump ‘93’ is superior to what you guys get in the states. That’s why we can make more power on 93 with a hpfp upgrade.
