Well, my M2C is gone...

With my work move to Ireland right around the corner, the new owner drove away in the M2C yesterday. Definitely more bitter vs sweet. Some parting thoughts:
- I only had the car for 6 months, but it left a big impression...this car was easily one of the two best cars I have ever owned (other was a E92 M3). Beautiful lines, perfect balance of modern and analog, very playful, and "just right" size
- I sold the car on the Cars & Bids platform and overall I was happy with it. Set up process, communication, and final price were all good and I would do it again
- In an amazing coincidence, the person who bought it is also on this forum so I am glad it went to a great person and fellow enthusiast
I will continue to engage in this amazing forum, plus it will help tide me over until the next M adventure

My condolences... Glad it all worked out for you. Enjoy your Ireland adventure! It’s only 915 miles between Dublin and the Nurburgring...

Well, Europe may help you forget about the M2 for a bit and when you are back, the G87 will be ready to buy. Of all my cars ever, the M2 would be the one that would crush me if sold, so I feel your pain.

I agree. My M2 is by far the best BMW I have owned. It will be a sad day if I ever sell it.

I know what you mean, losing one's car to an enthusiast is a worst pain than child birth.. 😢

Last time I was that sad, adjacent, was when one of favorite cats succumbed to a hit and run driver.. 🐱

However, as they say, time heals all wounds and vehicles can be replaced.. And from what I'm reading, there are discernible improvements to the next generation M2 that would render it a better performing animal.. So, the next one is certainly an upgrade and not just a mere seat change..

Wrote a little about it over here:

Thanks...yeah, it really does suck. Plus I only had 1700 miles on it (working from home), so most of the miles were break in miles so I didn't get a proper chance to really enjoy the car. Oh well, first world problems right??

I looked into trading mine in for a Tacoma to simplify the fleet a little bit. Got offered what I paid for it without even trying, but just could not do it. I decided to say screw it and truly use the car without caring about miles anymore. It's still got 1 year of warranty left and I probably won't be jumping on the G87 train anyway.
