Different Types Of Carbon Fiber Hood Available For The M2 (N55)?

Hey folks, what are all the available high-quality carbon fiber hoods available for our M2s (N55) right now? I'm trying to decide what looks best.

Here's a couple that I know. I only know the quality from BMW's M Performance. Not so sure about Alpha N or RW Carbon.
  • BMW, M Performance
  • Alpha N, GTS
  • RW Carbon, GTS
  • RW Carbon, Vented

Seibon offers an OEM style carbon fiber hood, they also have a vented version as well.

AutoID has a CS type hood too.

Alpha N the best quality after the M Performance one. If you want CS, do the AutoID one

But you'd really want to not buy Alpha N. Just do a quick search and you'll find horror stories. I considered them before buying my Suvneer aluminum hood.

really ? from what I heard, supposedly they were the best. but if what you’re saying is true, I guess I’m lucky considering I went with Suvneer’s aluminum GTS hood

Yes, do some searches and you'll find the threads.

In general aluminum is preferred over carbon because it's not that much of a weight difference, and it can be worked to fit better, unlike carbon. We won't even go into the price.

Carbon hoods in general are just a bad idea, even BMW's own doesn't fit right unless you get it on the CS from the factory because they have hundreds to choose from to make sure it's the best fit. But that hood after the fact and you probably won't be happy, especially for the price.

I'm a huge OEM fan, but in this instance Suvneer has the market cornered.
