HJS Euro 6 and detuning M2
Hey guys. Just bought a 2018 M2 F87 with MPE + catless downpipes and unknown tune (I think). Catless is too loud for my taste so I was thinking about getting the HJS Euro 6 downpipes.
1. Will the HJS Euro 6 https://www.fabspeed.com/bmw-m235i-f...tted-downpipe/ fit my 2018 F87? Based on my research it does but wanted to get confirmation. 2. Do I need to detune the car with the new catted downpipe? Thanks! |

2. Depends on the tune. If it's an OTS tune, then most likely no. Drive the car and monitor the behavior. By the way, if it's an unknown tune, you should figure out what it is because it can have some unknown fuel or mod requirements. I recommend reaching out to MHD or BM3. Maybe they can look up your VIN in their system.

Unlikely that you will need to detune the car on account of moving from catless to an HJS Euro 6. The flow is very close to a catless DP at that point. Unless the car is running a significantly larger turbo and HPFP, there should be no issue.

Got more questions… so I haven’t been able to figure out the what tune is on the car. I messaged a few tuners (mhd, bm3, bpm) and no dice. If I want a tune and the option to flash back to stock (the car will eventually be in Cali) what should I do?
