I love all the Lotus cars, but not as a daily driver. Nada, no way

My Lotus experience has been effectively summarized here. Awesome car on the track. Killer at autocross. Sucks big time for any other thing. I replaced my Elise with an E46 M3 and never shed a tear. I replaced my E46 M3 with an M2, and I have shed a tear (not that I don't love the M2, I just wish I'd kept both).

I appreciate all the thoughtful comments here. Owning an m2 CS already and a few other toys I feel my decision to add an exige to the garage makes perfect sense. Pure drivers car you won’t want to drive often especially in the city. As my 11th toy car it seems like the perfect antidote to my others.
Besides my son can learn to track / autocross this car when he turns 16. The 2006 Exige NA 4 cylinder, should be a good starter Motorsports car for him.

I'm extremely happy with my '06 Exige / '18 M2 combo. The cars really are at opposite ends of the spectrum, but both are very rewarding to drive. After driving the M2 all week I'm always looking forward to getting into the Lotus, but the opposite is also true, so it works very well for me.
