Just got an update today to v 2.14.

One of the "what's new" is:

- SPORT+ coding in basic mode.

Anyone know what that is?

Wondering about that as well... I am not sure, but i think this is not relevant for our cars.

It's probably aimed at all normal BMW's with DCT or Automatics which normally only offer "Drive" and "Sport" but not Sport Plus modes?

One of the biggest complaints with cars from GM is that the cars turn the reverse light on when the owner is just opening the door. It causes confusion in a parking lot when pedestrians or drivers thinking the person is backing out. It's a terrible design. Don't activate that on a BMW.

Two things:
1. whenever I code something with bimmercode, I lose all of my saved shortcuts (1-8) and have to redo them all. Every time.
2. Is there a way to get both the driver and passenger mirrors to angle down when reversing? Additionally can I change the angle? Right now the passenger mirror angles down but it angles down way too far, I want it to be about half of that value. Any insight?

That's super easy. You go into the FEM (Front Electronic Module) and scroll down to voltage monitoring and change the bulbs you replaced to LED and turn off the cold and warm checks for those same bulbs.

You can only angle down the passenger side in reverse AFAIK.

Tilt angle can be adjusted in Expert mode.

This does not need to be coded. It depends on your switch position. I forget which one is which but left or right goes down in reverse and the opposite doesn't. It's super useful for curbs etc

Right, I'm aware of that, but it angles down waaay too far. My previous car had both mirrors angle down and it was only about halfway, so you can see both the ground and behind you. Extremely helpful and easy to park in reverse. Not so much with the M2 mirrors... I'm still getting used to it.

Anti-Glare High Beam (AGHB)

Hi guys - I do not think it is possible to code Anti-Glare High Beam using Bimmercode. Has anyone done this using some other method, and if so, how? I like the simplicity of using Bimmercode but also want to see about AGHB. I may have to pay someone to remote code my AGHB and then I can use Bimmercode to experiment on my own with the other things.

I coded my car to make the rear fogs work. With that done I coded the rear fogs to come on as courtesy entry lights when I unlock with the fob. That’s perfect for me.

That sounds much better than using the reverse lights!

You can enable this on US spec cars using BimmerCode. However it will not work properly as the headlight is a different part number from the rest of the world and seems to either lack the shutters required to do light tunneling, or just no one has figured out all of the additional coding required.

Just curious if anyone knows why when I code the car it deletes all my shortcuts?

I think this only happens to me when I code the iDrive ecu.

I believe this is a known issue with Bimmercode. If you skim through the pages in the thread, everyone has this issue. It happens to me every time.

Not specifics to Bimmercode. All coding of headunit using any software resets shortcuts

I have not checked if you can backup user profile to USB then restore them from there after coding maybe

I did try to export the userprofile to usb yesterday but no success. It's the same stick i have always plugged in with my FLAC library which is otherwise working fine.

I coded my left rear fog light today using the following:

ECU Module Option Default New Value
FEM_BODY 3060 NSL_Verbaut nicht_verbaut Verbaut
REM 3063 Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output off nsl_l

However, when I push the button to activate, I get the error "Left two-stage brake lamp malfunction." The error clears when I turn the car off and back on. Do I need to code out the Dynamic Brake Force to avoid this error?

You don't need to pay anyone to do it for you in ESYS, you can do it in bimmercode:
