M2 gearshift trim cover

I was looking to buy the gearshift trim cover on its own for a 2018 M2 and came across one (linked below), but on the list of vehicles that this piece fits on it mentions all 2 series models but not the M2. My question is will this still fit the M2? I would assume it does since they share the same layout as the 2 series models but I could be wrong. Thanks.

Yes, that gear surround fits the M2. Just not the M2 Comp.

The reason it's not listed to fit the OG M2 is the M2 one comes as an entire kit.
