Hmm. My chicago dealer said that they were told that parts arrive on 5.27 and I'll be able to pick up the car that weekend.

That is great news , at least for you. When did your dealer tell you that? I might try to contact my CA again on Monday

Well if they aren't denying it, but not confirming, the earlier idea that this is more an internal memo, makes more sense.

This is good news! And consistent with some of what the others have said. I bet they'll have it ready that Friday, 5/31 which is the very end of May. #salesnumbers #monthend

Almost a week ago I believe. Same time frame as the others got update from their CA. However, my CA just texted me saying there is a second recall....software related but will get corrected in no time. What's going on with BMW with all these recalls..sigh

Oh Gosh, Another call?
Currently, I do not see that software related recall in the https://www.bmwusa.com/safety-and-emission-recalls.html for my Vin Number. Do you know if it effecst M2 only or 4 series too?

Typically software recalls are way easier and quicker to fix. Just plug in to the mothership.

Parts to Canada will be auto-shipped, with limited supplies to dealerships at the end of may - no specific dates. My guess is that any parts landing at dealerships will be for VIN's that are currently sitting on lots waiting to be delivered and marked with a stop delivery.

Would you mind tell me what you got your information from ?
Also, what does "auto-shipped" mean ?

I would assume it means that BMWAG will ship replacement parts to dealerships as they are received vs. dealerships ordering parts as vehicles are being sold or serviced.

I wonder if the earlier notice and # of vehicles affected was for all of North America.. which would make the overall cars impacted even smaller, scale wise.

Should be. I could be wrong but BMW generally sends out bulletins and recall notices by region. BMW North America will typically cover vehicle related to the U.S. market, BMW Canada covering Canadian VIN's, etc.

Well yeah, I don't think very many MY18 or 19s were affected. My comment was just wondering about Canada vs. US cars. Not a big deal, and the auto-ship makes sense, and gives me more hope this will get resolved sooner, than later.

I am officially tapping out!

Ordered M2C in January. The car arrived at the dealership on 5/4 and was told about the stop sale.

After 2 weeks of no update or deadline from BMW, I started browsing on cars.com for fun and found a good deal on a brand new left-over 2018 Carrera T for almost 18% off MSRP. Not in the same price bracket as M2C but you only live once, right?

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their M2 competition. If there is someone who is in the market for a silver M2 with 6MT and executive package in Chicagoland, maybe you can take my spot.

I wish I could get out as easily as you...dealer won't even have the canceling conversation with me because I've already paid for it

Does anyone have A Knee idea why it's taking BMW so damn long to confirm A Knee solutions to this recall? WTF... I'm seriously growing impatient over here. Was supposed to have my car two weeks ago.

It's time to have a hard talk with the dealer. I think luongo is right. It's been two weeks with zero information or updates. If they can't tell me something tomorrow I'm out
