well if the computer reports an over-rev... then you over revved / money shifted it. warranty will not cover that. you can look into getting insurance to pay for damages though.

it is possible to over rev a DCT box... but the scenarios are almost impossible. Like you'd have to catch air at 50mph, brake, and downshift to first gear. When the car lands its still going 50mph and the engine will over rev.

So i called BMW NA and been going back and forth with them they told me they are not covering the engine aswell. But im trying to get the ECM report out of them but if not looks like im going to have to lawyer up.
