Through my experiences with different vehicles I've come to a final conclusion...I should have never sold the 1M.

That Valencia is beautiful. The guy in the neighborhood behind mine sold his at like 70k miles for practically MSRP. What kind of 911? I mean can't really go wrong with a 991, even if it's the S

GT4 waiting to ship out of Germany…that’ll scratch the NA mid engine itch.

I have felt the need to share this video , cause its one of the best out there. Everybody seems to be missing the point of cars nowadays.

One word - balance.

Thank you my friend. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

What a bloody legend. I was 21 in 1987 and remember the E30 JPS leaving everyone for dust in the Australian Touring Car Championship. In round 3, Jim Richards beat the V8 Holden Commodore (from GM in Australia) with 400+ horses into an agonising submission.

This is a reunion of the two cars 31 years later

Check out from 6 minutes on for a repeat performance all that time later

Enjoy

I don't wish to raise the temperature of some folks by saying this, however, I personally think that the M2 CS captured the same spirit as that of the E30 M3 ..... and that's why my signature reads:

I dont think after all that praise and awards there is still somebody that thinks otherwise. Every racing legend had also a road version. Yes it cannot compete in the top category cause things have changed a lot since , but the spirit is there. One of the most legendary moments i remember was when BMW used the M2 CS racing to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of BMW M - see below

''They have shaped shaped motorsport and experienced significant success for BMW: Twelve motorsport legends will compete against each other in identical BMW M2 CS Racing in the Race of Legends. There is one special feature: the minimum age for starters is 50.

The competitors are: Dirk Adorf (DE), Bill Auberlen (USA), Johnny Cecotto (VEN), Eddie Cheever (USA), Harald Grohs (DE), Olaf Manthey (DE), Jochen Mass (DE), Arturo Merzario (IT), Steve Soper (UK), HRH Prince Leopold of Bavaria (DE), Franciscus van Meel (NL) and Eric van de Poele (BEL).

BMW Group Classic brand ambassador HRH Prince Leopold of Bavaria will also be supporting the drivers as patron of the extravaganza along with Jochen Neerpasch, co-founder of BMW Motorsport GmbH and mentor of the current BMW Junior Team.''

I remember that livery , like the iconic E21 racecar. All those true legends , the BMW M Co-Founder , the Ex FIA president and legend Jean Todt , everyone was there.

* love that EVO Australia magazine.

I'm still not convinced there were "exactly" 2200 M2CSs made. All literature from BMW suggested "around" 2200. To my best knowledge, BMW has yet to confirm the exact figure.

And yes, they were all legends indeed; I'm sure I won't be around for the Centenary of ///M but I'm sure my son's grandchildren will enjoy him taking them to the local events in the "vintage" M2CS 😉

I have a feeling it was less than 2200 given the issues around Covid that year. However, we never ever found any final numbers from BMW?

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong? Would love to know Worldwide production numbers?

I think it’s great. Loud enough with a decent BMW sound when you press the loud pedal. Quiet otherwise. What’s not to like?

Sound is not the issue at all. It could be the worst looking exhaust ever put on an ///M car.

Yea, I have no qualms with the sound of it, being a stock exhaust and all. But, I was turned off by the look from the moment I set my sights on it. I've heard it being called the "udder" and "exhaust diaper" and all.
