My M2 was running around 650whp on the stock block n55 engine before it blew. Mod list was:
* Big boost kit 3.4 (70mm) * Spool performance fx-150 * Fuel it port injection (950cc) * Fuel it stage 5 Ipfp (dual 525 pump) * BPM4 low pressure fuel pump controller * Turbosmart bov* I decided I didn't want another n55 in the car so I found a great priced, low mile s55 engine and swapped it in. Took a lot of coding and tuning but in the end was all worth it. |

Hello ,
Congrats on the successful swap & the choice of an S55 .At the point of a blown engine the world was your oyster as far as any & all engines . Were you able to determine why the engine let go & approximate miles driven after the mods were done ? Thanks Dan |

I believe engine detonated due to super knock at around 170mph causing rod to shoot through bottom of block and sending oil and fire down the whole side of my car. Honestly can't believe the car didn't burn down. About 12k miles on all mods

I mean, this begins as a sad story, but also an unbelievably bad ass story.
Man pushes m2 to insane power levels, finds the limit of the motor in a blaze of actual fire at 170mph and then S55 swaps the remains. 5/5 sir. No notes. |
