I've been getting mocked a bit on rennlist even to the point of accusing me of having "financial" issues... The problem for me is I happen to have a wife that has yet to be fully trained with respect to her husband having multiple toys...

Off topic but I never felt registering on Rennlist since the crowd seems a bit too radical and off IMHO, but am an avid reader for quote some time since there is a lot of good technical information on it too. Porsche cars and BMW M cars are so different, at the same time they are some of the best available in their segment! |

Personal utility/satisfaction when driving in your preferred element (mine is daily on public roads vs track) differs quite a bit so to each their own I say. Can I buy a 992TT or Huracan? Sure but I'm a greedy bastid and prefer the funds invested for now until the car mkt stabilizes and then will reassess (the wife notwithstanding)...

I understand that Buying at the end of the year is a good time when car dealers usually offer the best discounts.

Off topic but I never felt registering on Rennlist since the crowd seems a bit too radical and off IMHO, but am an avid reader for quote some time since there is a lot of good technical information on it too. I’ve found the Rennlist web interface more of a headache than the crowd. The Facebook specialist groups for specific Porsche models however are excellent - as are some of the groups spinning up for some Bimmers like the M3 Touring. In many ways they’ve taking over from the forum sites/apps unless the forums like here have a specialist sub forum like we do here for the F87 M2 CS, Comp etc. |

So I took out a 992 C4 GTS today (on PA4s) and I must say...wow.
Will be reviewing this month's mkt gains...

4 months until my 7-speed 992 T manual arrives. The M3 Touring is a blast and the most capable high performance car I’ve driven - though the ZF8 lets it down compared to the DCT in the M2CS. It will be a great family car for my wife when I go back to a manual daily driver after many, many years.

I mean if you could only have 1 car I would get a Porsche also but can't you save the M2 CS? It's really not a very easily replaced car. Especially if you track your M2 CS like I do.

I’d love a 4.0 Spyder but I take my kids to school in the mornings, so it would just end up sat at home most days. I’m fortunate in that I have some good roads to drive home on, which I can use daily in my CS. I’d love a Porsche but the BMW does everything so well it’s hard to see what could replace it.

I would probably go for a M4 MxDrive LCI rather than a Porsche personally (because I still need 4 seats and the versatility). I still don’t like the front end of the G8x in general but the one in dark color are acceptable.
I would like to own a 911 once in my life (GTS or Turbo). Maybe in ~10 years when my children are leaving the house lol... If money no object no problem you can buy each one

And I agree with NYNick - a 911 is an experience would definitely recommend if the timing is right. Definitely not much utility to them but can really put a smile on your face if it is the right one for you. I personally go for the NA models and can say that as of right now my 991.2 GT3 RS is my favorite car to drive that I have owned. It has taken a bit of love to get it there though but that is part of the fun too - 4.5L stroker, full iPE exhaust, full aero kit, and now with the Nitron 3ways going on any day now. Conversely something like an AWD variant of the 911 wouldn't do much for me personally. Amazing cars but they lack the personality and experience that I want out of a car but many prefer them. One day I would love to take a 911 turbo and turn it in to an all out track monster though. |

I had 2x OG M2’s. I now have a 718 GT4 6MT and I’m shopping for a F87 CS. The GT4 is fantastic but not as playful at street speeds. Also had a 997 RS. If you want a scalpel, a GT car will do it. There is fun in the brute character of an M car so think about what you like in a car.

Had 3 Porsches and drove many more on street and track. They are obviously good cars, but much prefer my m2 CS (and BMW in general) in terms of overall fun and daily driving. Wouldn’t go back to Porsche except for gt3, which I’ve been losing interest in the longer I have my m2 CS
