Hi guys the amp in my 2018 M2 went out from the water ingress issue. Does this amp work as a replacement?

No that won't work, that's for the F8x m3/m4 - which has a different harmon kardon audio setup (different number of speaks, wattage etc), it won't fit on the m2.

You need this:

Part number: 65122622869

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=65122622869

You'll likely have to get it coded as well.

Does it have to be coded even if it’s used?

It depends on if the amp has differences in software or is a slightly newer model vs. the one you have.

Some people have said they didn't need any coding, some have said they required a firmware update. So it depends.
