Hey guys!
I just got an allocation of a 2018 Black Sapphire Metallic M2. My dealer told me the production week will be 5/18/2018 and I was wondering how long do you guys think this will take for the car to be delivered to the East Coast? I was told the car will be delivered mid June as an estimate. I really appreciate it if I can get some answers! ![]() |

I am going to toss my hat in the ring and guess that you will have your car on June 19th. Hope this helps :-)

Mid-june sounds about right. My timeline, delivered to NC, was about as follows:
Feb 3rd: Order Placed (Dealer already had an open allocation) Feb 16th: In Production March 5th: At Port in Bremerhaven March 8th: Loaded onto vessel March 26th: Arrived in Brunswick March 30th: Picked up at dealer The wait is HARD! As mentioned above, follow the tracking guide and you'll be worrying about things like shipping routes that you'd never even thought of before. Enjoy the journey! |

Then it got on a vessel, which will stop in New York first, before it gets to Baltimore. Many vessels go from Bremerhaven -> Zeebrugge -> Southampton -> Baltimore. Overall, I would guess 5 weeks after production, which gets you into second half of June. Here is the progress of mine so far: March 1: Order Placed March 21: Finished Production April 3: Reached Port in Bremerhaven (long time between production and port, likely due to Easter Holiday weeks) April 6: Loaded onto Vessel (Tulane) in Bremerhaven April 7: Left Bremerhaven April 8: Reached Zeebrugge April 11: Left Zeebrugge April 12: Reached Southampton April 12: Left Southampton April 13: Vessel disappeared on tracking map (outside terrestrial tracking reach), making its way across the Atlantic April 22: Arrived/unloaded in Baltimore April 24: MPE installed, but put on "STOP SALE!" at the port, due to the intelligent emergency call unit hjaving to be fixed May 07: Released at the VPC for transport to dealership May 08: Reached delaership May 10: Taken delivery Other than that, the stickie is a good place to go, as mentioned in the other reply. Mine was 53 days from the day it was ordered to the day it arrived at the dealer, which was extraordinarily fast.

Mid June would be quick, I'm hoping to have mine by the beginning of June, it's been sitting "in assembly" since 3/24. No movement, was supposed to roll off the assembly line per their est. completion date on 4/14 but I still haven't heard anything. Feels like its taking excruciatingly long with everyone else saying, "My car spent 9-10 days in the 'in production phase'!" yeah. I'm going on a full month at that stage and it's driving me crazy.

As long as you verify they have an open allocation, the process will take less than 3 months... I thought it would take 6 months but after 8 weeks I got a call saying it's ready for pickup... This is Prestige BMW in N.J.

My timeline:
December 13, 2017: Ordered, with Production # February 6: Started production February 16: Production completed February 21: Arrived at port in Germany February 23: Loaded onto Tombarra Voyage March 22: Arrives at port in Oxnard, California March 28: Picked up from dealer! ![]() ![]() ![]() ------------------ Had it all of five days, then took it to get clear bra'd... he kept it EIGHT FRIGGIN DAYS, but it looks great! Guy who clear bra'd my car doesn't like to give it back with any bubbles or blemishes, so he keeps it in his warehouse, where it's temp controlled, until it's perfect! He has lighting on both sides of the car to show any bubbles, defects in the film or imperfections! Hated waiting, but thrilled with the results! ------------------ Your timeline will be at least two weeks shorter, being on the east coast! Congrats! You're going to love this car!!! (By early March, I couldn't wait any longer, and rented an M2 from Turo for a day!) |

after 3.5 extremely long weeks, my car (per 800 number and website) has finally moved past the 153 stage and has been released to the carrier and awaiting transport to the port. everything I have read says this update is at least 3 days behind. my husband goes to pick up his new car tonight at the dealer, so I told him to get the absolute latest the CA has since I know they're more up to the minute. hoping the car is already at the port because then maybe I have a good chance of making the 4/21 boat. if not, it will sit until 4/26.
FYI: my timeline (approximate): 20 Dec 17 - down payment 15 Mar 18 - production number given (at this point the car was already at 112, production begins) 24 Mar 18 - status 153 - in assembly 18 Apr 18 - production ended, released to carrier and awaiting transport to port of exit *note: the 800 line says the est. completion date of the car was 4/14, so there's a good chance that it just wasn't updated until today, but it was completed on 4/14. no way to really know. so I am hoping it's already at the port. status through 1-800 now says "your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit" - i'm guessing this is 190, so hopefully it's already at the port and has been there long enough to make the thalatta leaving 4/21. fingers crossed!
