Still funny that it's not showing up on Michelin's US website.
Did you have any luck finding these? I called TireRack and they do not show them available yet/

Nope-- but I haven't tried all that hard.

Wheels are delayed until April, so I have time to do research-- IF I go with the 285/30 instead of the 295/30. I'm not sure which is the "best" tire to pair with the 265/30 front.

Wife wanted to remodel house (translation: She extorted me in exchange for being able to buy wheels, tires, suspension, etc.), so that's been moved up to the front of the line lately-- Hardwood guy comes tomorrow, so I'm spending the day pulling carpet and doing prepwork for the entire upstairs (three bedrooms).

That's what I thought, but I talked to one of the Tech's at Apex and got this reply:

"A 285/30-19 will be a touch too short to be an ideal rear fit. A 285/35-19 will be a touch too tall and could result in rear rubbing under compression, depending on your final suspension setup. I would stick to the 255/35-19 and 275/35-19 or our recommended and tested 265/30-19 and 295/30-19 tire setup."

Then there's the chart below (and huge props to whoever posted it up here originally)-- according to it, 275/295 would be the best combination, but as you can't actually stuff a 275 in the front of a M2C, it sort of depends on which column you like best to determine it 285/30 or 295/30 is the best to be paired with the 265/30 front.

So, you can see where my confusion comes from.

I'm *only* interested in the MP4S, so this may become a moot discussion if they're not available in the States.

I think the 265/30 and 285/30 are the best balance for fittment. I've read that 295 are a lot bigger. I'd be worried about understeer.
Edit: That's also what Dinan recommends.

I just checked in with Michelin. Here's the answer I got:

"Unfortunately, we have not received any information as to when that tire model and size will be produced for Michelin US."

Yeah, I asked them also. The MPS4S in 265/30 and 285/30 are for sale all over Europe and the UK. Hopefully it's just a matter of time. I can squeeze a few more miles out of my stock tires.

I didn't read anything past this.

No such thing as a touch, and since every tire is different, he's speaking out of turn without knowing every tire's specs. It makes it a bit easier since you're only interested in the PS4S, but I haven't seen the 285/30 PS4S specs. Has he? have you?

All we need is a US distributor, someone who is used to massive mark-up's, like IND .

Let me revise what I said.

The 265/30 & 295/30 will fit fine, but I prefer the 265/30 & 285/30 as it's closer to OE equipment in spec (I still couldn't find the exact specs on the 285/30, so the graph below is probable specs), and therefore will be the closest in handling characteristic.

I'm sure these will be available through certain distributors. I know for certain I'll have a set when I get my larger wheels.

I need them by mid April at the outside, so if they don't show up with US distributors, I'll go with the 265/295 combo.

I don't think they will be available by mid April. I'm checking now to see how much it'd cost me to get a set brought into the US on a container ship. It's slow, but it's the way to go for pricy items.

That's cool, I was going to make a list as soon as I can get a price. The more guys interested, the less the price will be.

I'd be interested in this as well as long as it didn't cost a wheel and a tire (instead of an arm and a leg. )

I e-mailed my contact at Tire Rack last night about when/if Michelin will be bringing the MP4S 285/30/19 to the US market, and this was the answer I got in return:

Unfortunately, some of the manufacturers decide to keep some sizes out of our market for various reasons…that would be one of them. I don’t foresee them coming stateside any time soon.

Grr. Sigh.

Yeah, I'd never rely on Tirerack to get anything rare. I love tirerack, but when it comes to rare tires, they don't play the game. Track-rat sites are much better at getting rare tires.

If Dinan is able to fit 275/30/19 (F) and 295/30/19 (R) on Forgelines, why aren't more people going that route?

Did they do a special fitment? Their website lists 265/30 and 285/30.
