Do you need the adapter to use the 3.5 bar TMAP on the N55 M2?

I have a 2017 M2, looking to upgrade to the 3.5 bar TMAP sensor (part # 13627843531). I see there is an adapter harness available as well. Is the adapter needed for my M2? Or is the upgraded 3.5 TMAP plug and play? Thanks!

Plug & Play

But it has to be changed to 3.5bar in your tuning software

Increases the boost ceiling. It doesn't really do anything on a mostly stock m2, as you're not pushing boost beyond the capabilities of the oem sensor.

Like others have said it is plug and play on the F series N55, on the N54 you require the pig tail harness adaptor. Afterwards you will require to make a change in your tuning software to accommodate the sensor.

In regards to its function it allows the ecu to see boost levels above 21.5 psi, which is the limit of the stock sensor.
