Thumbs up *** M2 Competition (S55) support now available with bootmod3 ***

For those of you lucky enough to own the new M2 Competition with the S55 engine, this one is for you

Full support added including access to all of the S55 OTS maps that have been tested and refined through bootmod3 since 2015, now sitting at Version 8.5.

These maps are identical to the other S55 OTS maps and that includes the FREE CS, CSL and GTS maps as well which you can import in the editor and compare with your own stock M2 Competition map if you're inclined to see and learn about the difference factory takes in tuning, or should we say 'detuning', your S55 motor.

Any questions let us know, all the best

Same engine so I'd hope it'd be the same results

proTUNING Freaks, I have a question regarding your free CS map. BMW releases software updates almost monthly that affect certain ECUs. Some of these updates are related to DME and they can even affect the exhaust sound as well. For example, I tested the software versions 58.3 and 61.1 on my M4 ZCP and noticed couple important things. For example, power delivery and exhaust note were improved significantly. There are several posts confirming these changes under F80 sub-forum.

That being said, I'm sure BMW has made some changes to their CS DME over the time as well. Do you guys just pick a certain I-Step for CS and make it available on your platform? ... or do you update your OEM maps as BMW introduces updates through newer I-Step versions? Ideally, I would like to run the latest CS DME software by BMW. How do I make sure of this?

Have you tested these maps on an actual M2 Competition? If you have what were your findings now the S55 has an OPF fitted?
Very important question!

Great work guys.

When do you think PTF will have BM3 options to flash other modules [steering/DSC/Diff] with F80/2 CS or F82 GTS FW ?

You flash this via ESYS if it matches your car.

BM3 does not over-ride the ROM version of your car that you activated with. In order to do as you described you must first update your car to the latest DME software for your variant of the S55. Once that's done you can load the latest CS map from BM3 which is for your ROM version. Or I can give you one to flash with.

PM me if you need remote assistance on this

There's virtually no difference between the M2C and other S55 variants when it comes to running with OTS maps. An M2C customer just sent this log in of the Stage 1 93 octane map, looks great to me given basically minimal adaptation:

I am getting more jealous by the day. Trying to resist the urge to turn in my 2017 M2 for a new M2C.

Since its on latest iStep (ECU) software the knock sensors are more sensitive than say 2017 S55 Software. As long as its not knocking under 100% WOT its no biggie could be so many other reasons too like temp/gas as I've seen in my pump gas logs.

As soon as I switched to E30 OTS (E85 cleans all that garbage) haha
